Up your dossage to 40mg/day of nolv and you should have ZERO effects of gyno in under a week. Use it for 7 days and stop. Nolv is not something that you should play around with.

try splitting the dose up - one in the morning and one at night
it says something in the prescribing information that doses over 20mg/day should be split up for greater effectiveness

sure bro. and thanks for your help.

quote:
Nolvadex has been shown to cause testicular cancer in labratory rats. We
can only expect that the same would be true for humans however, it would be
very difficult to test in a controlled study.
Nolvadex will antagonise the IGF-1 pathway. This is the same pathway
through wich Growth Hormone utilizes its muslce building effects. What this
means is that an AS like TESTOSTERONE which is said to be 50% anabolic/ 50%
androgenic will not be "50% anabolic." This is because one of the ways that
testosterone increases muslce gain is through increasing IGF-1 receptor
expression. Through antagonization of this pathway, half of the muslce
building effects of testosterone are blocked and benefits are only due to
AR-mediated events. Nolvadex may not have such detrimental effects on other
AS that bind to AR more redially.

good info!
everything causes testicular cancer in rats, so I'm not worried about that (the last time I checked, I wasn't a rat)
the anti-IGF theory might be offset by the testosterone anyway - i don't really believe that part about half the muscle building effects of test being blocked
also, there have been studies where males have stayed on nolvadex for 3 months to reverse gyno, so I don't know about this 7 day limit

Arimidex will not antagonise the IGF-1 pathway; neither will clomid as clomid only binds to ER in the brain (does not bind to estrogen receptors anywhere else).

There are no conclusive studies of nolvadex's causing cancer in humans; however, there have been many (some of our own brothers from Elite) who have developed testicular cancer after taking Nolvadex for extended periods of time. But keep in mind, it is hard to say that other factors didn't play a key role.

For those who don't know anything about biology/medicine, rats that are used in studies have been geneticly modified so their bodies mimic human response patterns. This is why studies are done on rats. We do not care about effects that AS has on rats. They are only used when humans can not be.

Stew

Your point is well taken. Obviously, there is only so much "genetic modification" you can do to rats to make their systems mimic humans.
for instance, the rat stomach is a particularly bad model for human research since it tends to produce carcinoid tumors if you do anything at all to induce hypochlorhydria.
as you said, there is no proven link between testicular cancer and Nolvadex in humans

One other thing, here's some data suggesting that clomid may be a player when it comes to IGF http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?cmd=Retrieve&db=PubMed&list _uids=11056123&dopt=Abstract
