Am I doing the right stuff to get ripped? Below is my weekly routine: MON Chest, Bicepts, Tricepts, Legs Since I have only done this for a month I try to do somwhat of a total body workout each time I go to the gym. Each day I emphasise a muscle group and work the rest not as hard. I don't see much improvement though. I eat lots of protein and extra calories. Any suggestions for improvements or changes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. ** Also can anyone expalin to me how working one muscle group ONCE a week can make you bigger? ** What exactly is overtraining and what does it do to you? Because I have a friend in gymnastics and they train every day for hours and they are big. [This message has been edited by nacius (edited April 21, 2001).]

work the muscle group to exhaustion only once a week. then rest alottttttttt.. oh and if you send me five dollars a week for a year, i will have a gyspy cast a spell on you and you will grow like you never thought possible. If you believe that i have a bridge to sell you too.

1. Working Bi's 3 times a week is a no no. 2. Day one would be 2 hours alone 3. Cardio time is good but try this... M - Legs Abs at the end of each workoput day if you want, more cardio on the weekends if you want or start over with legs on Saturday & keep the same rotation. This allows great supersets as well. It works, I have an extra 25 lbs to prove it.

Monday is going to be a long, long, long, long day! Man, you can't do all that shit in one day, or at least I can't! I like beefmaster's idea better. Personally, when I played football our trainer had us doing a 3 split work out, almost like the way an ameture would. Back/Bi's, chest/tri's, legs/shoulders. I just got into that grove and stuck with it, but I do Back/tri's, chest/bi's and legs/shoulders. I go to the gym every other day. ------------------ |
