I tried using acohol based swabs, but they only dried my face out and iritated my face even worse. Try using some of those foaming face washes, they worked for me. If your acne is really bad, ask your doc for some Tetracycline, or Retin-A, or perhaps Accutane.

alcohol swabs work great on acne for me. Be careful not to keep them on too long though, or your face or where ever you put it will dry out terribly
