i know what you mean bro, i think your expectations of your ideal physique are too high, just think what you look liked when you started and where you are now, you probably have gained alot bro, dont be so hard on yourself.

Yeah I know the feeling.... you've been busting your ass for weeks and your weights haven't gone up even a pound... but think of it this way, wherever you're at, do your really want to go back to your pretraining state? Don't give up... keep pumping and you'll get there eventually

READING THIS POST IS MAKING ME DEPRESSED I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT OF GIVING UP BODY BUILDING BECAUSE I HAVE GOALS SET RIGHT NOW AND I AM NOT GOING TO STOP UNTIL I REACH THEM. I AM PRETTY FAR OFF NOW SO IT LOOKS LIKE I WILL BE TRAINING FOR A WHILE TO COME PLUS I LOVE THE FEEL I GET WHEN I AM IN THE GYM, I THINK OF NOTHING BUT LIFTING HARD.

juice first look at your diet, then are you in a standard training routine? If so, shake it up with something new. Compound aftershock or something.. Drink lots and lots and eat lots and lots. If all else fails and genetics seem to be the problem, save you money for a kick as hgh cycle. You do that shit for a few months then hit a test deca and dbol cycle or something and you will get where you want to go my friend. It's mind over matter and these days with our technology as long as you've got a mind to get there, genetics don't matter.

Bodybuilding is the best thing to happen to me. At times I have been a little depressed and frustrated with having to eat all the time and thought "This is bullshit why do I do this?" But being able to accomplish bodybuilding goals helps me accomplish everyday life goals. I used to drink alchohol for confidence, now I drink water and I am happy with who I am. It also helps with the opposite sex =) Chix dig non-drunk musclular guys! BODYBUILDING4LIFE

If it was for weightlifting I would probably be a falling down drunk right now...A few years ago I went through a horrible depression (still not completely over it) but I turned my anger and pain to the gym... the results were more self-confidence..a release for my pain and anger..and a pretty decent body to boot... Never give up..Its not about looking like Arnold..it's about improving how you look today...

If you mean quitting AS I don't think so, but if you mean quitting going to the gym it's a definite no. My whole life would be screwed up. Training gives me the motivation for everything else in my life.

Juiceseeker, I think maybe you are getting bored of bodybuilding because maybe you are doing the same routine all the time. I use to go through the same thing until I started changing my routine every 3 to 4 weeks which helps me alot. Whenever you seem to wanna get out of bodybuilding, it's usually a sign of overtraining, which gives you know interest. Cut back and don't work out so much, keep change your workouts to shock the muscle, and do what someoneelse said to do, a kick ass cycle. I was overtrained myself, and went out of the gym for a while. Trust me it's not worth it. I started feeling like shit everyday, turning to coffee to try yo make me more awake, what a joke, all I was doing was dehydrating myself,. When you lift everything in life is easier, your job is much more easier. Put it this way, if you quit now, most bodybuilders go back. So don't quit, cause in the future when you go back, your going to say dam, if I would have still been lifting I would have defiantly been bigger. Stay in the gym!!!

I decided to give up juicin'. I have been on two cycles already and the last one just did not seem to leave near the same results as the first one. I think it would be foolish to continue juicin just to gain a few extra now due to long term health consequences and it its no longer cost effective. I'll come to terms with my size which is a respectable 5'11" 200 Ibs and just work on staying lean and healthy. Maybe in another 7 years when my receptors are clean I'll go on another cycle, but other than that I can't really get into the bulking gig.

Think of how bad and depressed you will feel if you let your body go. Think of what people will say to you. "Man, he starting to look like shit!" Keep on it dude. Try a new cycle or something and it will be exciting to see the results you will get.

Lee Priest talks about this in his video. He said you might not see any changes in your body or weights for 6-8 months, but if you just stay persistent, something will happen and you'll get over it. I just try to keep myself motivated all of the time. Lee's video really helps me with the motivation, as well as Dorian Yates video.

I hear ya dude. I just got married expecting to have kids and found out the gear made me sterile. Been 8 months off and still not coming back.Had my 40th birthday and my body started fallin apart. Shoulders are shot, elbows fucked and i can only lift half the weight i could a year ago.Had surgery and couldnt lift for a while and my bodyfat skyrocketed. This is the most discouraged i have been in the 10 years i been workin out.Time to get tough i guess and give it all i got. Good luck bro.

There are about 25 guys at my gym that I
seriously wish would get discouraged and
quit for good.

I am pretty much discouraged 24/7. As the
previous poster said, though, quitting is
not an option. I bust my ass EVERY time in
the gym. I am completely hooked on the
endorphine high you get at the late stages
of a gruelling workout. Getting that buzz
becomes more elusive each and every time
and I think that is the factor which is most
instrumental at keeping me going.

If you analyze the situation correctly, you
will also realize that training hard at a
minimum is keeping you the size you are now.
This size will go away if you stop. So your
workouts clearly are not for nothing.
