Does anyone have any experience with this drug? (0 documents returned in search) Testolactone (trade name TESLAC) is apparently an effective anti-aromatase, but I'd never heard of it before today... Let me know what you think of the following: (part of an abstract I found)

----------------------
The effect of testosterone aromatization on high-density lipoprotein cholesterol level and postheparin lipolytic activity.

Zmuda JM, Fahrenbach MC, Younkin BT, Bausserman LL, Terry RB, Catlin DH, Thompson PD.

Department of Medicine, Miriam Hospital, Providence, RI.

<snip>... In the present study, we tested the hypothesis that aromatization of androgen to estrogen blunts the lipid and lipase effects of exogenous testosterone. Fourteen male weightlifters received testosterone enanthate (200 mg/wk intramuscularly), the aromatase inhibitor testolactone (250 mg four times per day), or both drugs together in a randomized cross-over design. Serum testosterone level increased during all three drug treatments, whereas estradiol level increased only with testosterone alone (+47%, P < .05), demonstrating that testolactone effectively inhibited testosterone aromatization. <snip>...
-------------------------

So what do you guys think? Is anyone familiar with Testolactone? I know its "normal" use is as an anti-aromitase in breast cancer patients, but I'm wondering if it is relevant to bodybuilders as well...

from anabolics.com... (hehe, see what a little search can do?) I thought this was interesting.... Bump!

Teslac is neither an anabolic nor androgenic steroid. It is actually just considered a sex hormone that is a relative of testosterone and was developed for women for medical purposes. Teslac is widely used in the steroid community as probably the most effective anti-estrogen. When combined with Proviron, Teslac is almost certain to completely prevent estrogen conversion and it associated problems. Some have said it has even completely and permanently suppressed their estrogen content. It also effectively stimulates the body's natural production of testosterone like HCG, just takes a little longer to kick in. Really the only downfall of Teslac is its extremely high price. A common price on the black market is anywhere from $215-$230 for a package of 50- 50mg tabs. At a common dosage of 4-5 tablets/day, this is pretty pricey. To ease the cost a little, most athletes stack it with Proviron, which is probably more favorable anyway. A usual dose is Teslac-- 1-2 pills/day and Proviron-- 50mg/day. However, this is mostly irrelevant because it is tough to find on the black market. There currently aren't any known fakes of it either because of its high cost.
