Alright guys - I am trying to do my homework and use the search engine so that I dont post a repetative question and piss everyone off - but I cant get the freaking thing to work. I am computer literate - and Ive used it before - but the last couple of times Ive tried to use it, I get nowhere. Is anyone else having this problem?     | ||

Yes there's something wrong with the Search engine. Search function for the "active topics" is not working. The search for "archived topics" works and its just as good if not the same. | ||

Hacker - I wanted to read more about the "sign / dont sign" for international packages. I just had a somewhat odd situation happen that isnt quite the same as what others have described in recent posts - so I wanted to read all that I could find to try and match mine up. | ||

The order came from a middle eastern country. The order is VERY small. It came in a tiny box that was wrapped in shipping paper and tape - and that box was inside of a clear plastic bag. the mail man asked for a signature. I was not home - but the person who was here read the letter and signed for it. He said the letter was very short and said only that there was nothing in the package that should be claimed for duty purposes ( taxes ). A friend of mine who has lived overseas before, claims that many times customs puts the package in a clear plastic bag for their own reasons and not to be worried with that ( his parents used to send him stuff when he lived abroad ). I e-mailed the sender and he said the box was sent the same way that I described it, but that he obviously didnt put it in the clear bag. I took a black marker and wrote "return to sender" - and Ive got it sitting on my mail table by the front door. Does any of this send up red flags - and if so, what? I appreciate your help even though this topic has been covered many times before --- I have just never seen anyone mention the clear plastic bag before! | ||

another way to search through elite is to go to a search engine...like www.google.com and type in elite and whatever you are looking for |
