20 grams sounds like too much to me but then I am conservative, especially at the price of Glute. ![]() | ||

Yea man, that's a bit too much, I'd stick it around 10-15 grams. I personally use 10 - 12 grams a day. My 2 cents ![]() | ||

I take 20G of glutamine, and know several people over 25G. FLEX did a special on glut a few months ago, and never said anything about the body being able to absorb a certain amount. Stick with 20...go to: www.supplementdirect.com for good GLUT prices. I got 1000G for $50. ------------------ ![]() | ||

I take 30g a day. 20g is not too much...not all of it gets absorbed...it's a great supplement but it's efficiency of absorbtion is not very good to say the least. Peptides are more readily absorbed than free form L-glutamine but they too are not completely efficient. ![]() | ||

Glutamine is absorbed by the body the worst glutamine robber is the stomach after its requirements are met the liver & kidneys are next so its a matter of timing to get it into the muscles. I would say 2 hrs after a meal/before & after working out. ![]() | ||

WHY SHOULDNT YOU BE ABLE TO ABSORB MORE THAN 15G OF GLUT? ITS LIKE IF YOU TAKE IT ALL AT ONCE MAYBE BUT IF YOU TAKE 5 GRAMS IN SEPARATED SITTINGS YOU WILL ABSORB IT. WITH POWDERED FORM OF GLUT ITS REAL EASY TO GET OVER 20 GRAMS BTW. I stick to around 15-20g a day and it works very well...one of the few "supplements" that i feel offers a huge advantage both on and off cycle. ![]() |
