Those patches seem to work because if you smoke you get sick as shit if you are wearing them! hope that helps !

Yea,I quit. Not the way your suppossed to though. I took up dipping when the cravings got bad. After 1.5 years of dipping I quit that. It wasn't as hard to quit(for me).
When your thinking of quitting, write down all the reasons you want to quit. Some of mine were: I'd like to see my grandkids, I'd like to be the best bodybuilder I can be.
The reason you write them down is because when you are craving one you cant remember any of your damn reasons. Get them out and read them.
Oh yea, quitting takes practice. If you fail, learn from your mistakes and get up and try again.
Good luck

like kingjohn said, you have to WANT to quit....

i smoked for almost 3 years.. One day I just said .. I dont want this shit any more... I want to be healthy, I started training hard, and that was it. I had urges in the begining, when i first quit, but i kept telling myself no..Now i havent smoked since 93... When I smell a cigarette, or someone who smokes I get sick to my stomach... just get it in your mind that its bad for you... your mind is stronger than you think... just quit!!

...
Good luck bro!!
i know its tough...

I smoked for 10 years and quit 6 months ago. I've done the patch and the gum and this was my 6th and hopefully last time quitting(sp). I just woke up one day and decided to quit. Unfortunately, I haven't had a drink since then either, I'm worried if I drink, then I will smoke. Go get zyban from your doctor, it took my wife about 2 months, but it helped her quit.

ZAIBAN (WELBUTRIN=generic equivalent)
Might take a month or two but it usually works. Hope you have health insurance because its about 75 U.S. dollars per perscription.

I'm 31 now and had been smoking since I was about 14. I've also quit many times. I've used patches and zyban and failed. Then I met my wife and we decided to have a little curtain puller so she had to quit. Anyhow I just quit. When I woke up Apr 1 I smoked no more. I'm using the patch and zyban. I use it like I'm directed and have minimal cravings. It really feels like its time to say goodbye to smokes. And also you cant get BIG on cigarettes !

I am no expert bro, but I wish you the best of luck. Just think every two packs of smokes is an amp of omna or a few d-bol. It would work for me. what would you rather do

Here is how I did it.. I was 2 packs a day too.. I got the strongest patch that they sell (21mg a day I think) The day before I decided to quit (that night) right before bed..I put that patch on..woke up in the morning and that craving for the cig was not there.. I then went and started chewing gum like it was going outta style..I had a few cigs the first day (4..down from 40) and kept using that patch for a week..after the end of the week I didn't need the patch anymore....its been almost a year now....

My g/f quit cold turkey for the sole reason that I didnt do it or approve of it and that made her feel like a bad person Didn't even have to pressure her.
