Just found out that i have mono this morning. I had some of the symptoms for a few weeks now, but they have gotten worse over the past week. I was wondering if any kind of stack might help with recovery. Thanks for any suggestions. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

unfortunatly antibiotics won't do SH*T. You just have to wait it out and get alot of rest. Don't be stupid like me.... When I had mono I thought it was no big deal, went out every night, worked out , had little regard for what my body was going through. I ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks and lost close to 20LBS. I was the sickest I had ever been I thought I was going to die, the mono manifeted to hapititest. Going to the gym after that was the most discouraging thing ever, I lost everything ( size and strength) ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

does anyone have any ideas? I was thinking of some winny, but I do know that mono is hard on the liver in the first place, so I'm not sure about that, maybe anavar. Any thoughts? ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Forget the gear man. Just worry about getting better. Rest, rest and rest. Good luck. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Dude forget gear when you have mono. I had mono last year, it's hard enough on your liver, you don't need the added stresses ... get over the shit and then think about it, if you don't take care of yourself you could be battling it for months ... take care of yourself, and you'll be better in a few weeks. I'm not trying to give an answer you don't want to hear, but basically, YOU'RE FUCKED!!!!! I had mono last year and lost damn near 15 pounds. Once you get over the sore throat, you will feel a lot better. I'll tell you one thing, that was the worst sore throat I have ever had! Antibiotics will not do shit, its a virus. Try taking in as many antioxidants as you can, but once the throat starts hurting, you will not feel like swallowing dick, period! Go to the doctor and have him write you a script for some pain medication like VICODIN. It really helps with the pain and swelling. You probably will not be able to swallow much, so try and get some kind of liquid drinks/foods. Some puddings and broths will also help. Ice cream/milk may help with the hunger, but I found that the cold foods made the throat hurt like a real bitch. If the pain is unbareable like mine was, see if your doctor can write you a prescription for some viscuous lidocaine to gargle and numb the throat some. I had mine for about a good 8 weeks, with the sore throat around weeks 5-6. Something like that. After it is gone, you will not feel like going to the gym because you will be weak as hell, and it will take a good month to get things back on track. Again, i'm not trying to scare you, just letting you know what you are in for. Just try to rest. Don't do anything physical. Definately get some VICODIN with a couple of refills if possible and take the shit out of them. Hope you feel better man, take it easy, literally. MR. BMJ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

i agree with everyone else. antibiotics don't do shit, they actually make you more sick, since it is introducing new infection while your body is fighting the mono virus. also, something you should be concerned with is not the liver, but your spleen. it swells when you have mono and it can rupture. that is not good. the last thing is you can not get enough rest while you have mono, and once you start feeling better, you need to rest even more. mono is very easily re-occurring. so if you don't rest you can get it again and lose 30 pounds instead of the 15 you are afraid of. just chill and suffer bro. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

That sucks bro. The main thing you need right now is plenty of rest! As hard as it will be, you need to give up working out till you are recovered. If you work out you risk severe complications, including a ruptured spleen. The more you rest, the quicker you will recover. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Man. That sucks. I got mono this past 4th of July. It didnt come around till the first week of August. Which I might add, was the first week of two-a-days. And I will say, it fucking sucked. I was so sick, and had no idea what the hell was wrong with me. After a week or so, I finally went to the doctor, after I realized it was not just an ordinary cold or something. I thought it was strep throat, but they ran a blood test and sure enough it was mono. I lost about 35 lbs and I had it until January of this year. It was the worst shit you could imagine. There wasnt a minute in the day that I wouldnt want to just fall asleep no matter how much sleep I got. I can give you some advice take care of it. Because I didnt really take as good of care as I wanted and I ended up having it for 6 months. I couldnt lift, I couldnt run, I couldnt do anything besides sleep, and fuck studying because that wasnt going to happen. Forget the juice. And no, there is no medicine you can take, besides pain medication. So, get that out of your head. Dont drink and get lots of sleep, and you will be fine. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
