In a way, I am glad that gear is a controlled substance. My reason is that many teenagers are not rational. Can you image how many Andreas Munzer stories we would hear among the "M-TV" generation? In this age when some people believe if a small amount results in good results, them mega amounts should result in great results, I think we would hear a lot of Munzer stories among youngsters and some stupid adults! this is very true. I just wish it was like buying alcohol, you have to wait till your 21. Unfortunatly, some kid would just get an older dude to buy it for him. This would make all the kids in his high school want to use it when they see how big he is getting, and you wind up right back where you started. Stupid people always fuck things up for the rest of us in society, remember that.

No punchline here! It is what it says. The classification of gear as a controlled substance is not as evil as many folks on this board make it out to be.

a better alternative would be to make it legal to have over the age of 21, but not to sell it domesticly over the counter or anything. That way every shit head in the world wont have access to it. Only those who are knowledgeable and have a non-scamming source will have access to it. (i.e. you get pulled over in your car with juice and you are 21 it's all good). quote: Your logic only covers a small aspect of a braod topic and has several major flaws. -Firstly, Making a drug a controlled substance limits access to it and also makes Physicians LESS LIKELY to write an Rx for it,even for those who need it. Look at how many MD's are scared to write for anabolics for wasting conditions including, but not limited to HIV. - Secondly. If you use or posess these substances you are now a FELON. Sound logic-very sound. ------------------

Are you kidding? There are more drugs at the average american high school than just about anywhere else in this country. As for teens just look at this board some of the biggest cycles being posted are by teens and guys just out of their teens. [This message has been edited by Kookyguy (edited April 15, 2001).]

You can't be serious? If you think steroids ought to be federally controlled/scheduled then I guess you have no problem with people serving time just because they chose to use them. I mean, you can't have one without the other can you? Narcotics/medicationss are scheduled according to their level of addictiveness. Steroids aren't addictive so they shouldn't be controlled/scheduled. They should be available-by-prescription-only though, just like Growth Hormone, Insulin, Viagra, etc. For our government to say steroids are as bad for you as Ketamine (both scheduled the same) is ridiculous. Here's what could happen if you're caught with steroids under Federal law: *SIMPLE POSSESSION* 2. (1 prior conviction) 15 days to 2 years (must serve AT LEAST 15 days) with a MINIMUM FINE of $2,500. 3. (2 prior convictions) 90 days to 3 years (must serve AT LEAST 90 days) with a MINIMUM FINE of $5,000.
2. (with 1 prior conviction) Up to 10 years in prison with at least 4 additional years of special parole and/or increased fines. I took this info from www.steroidlaw.com - I highly recommend you take the time to check out this website. [This message has been edited by Damian Borleone (edited April 15, 2001).]

You don't get high from taking gear I have never heard of someone od and dying on the spot after an injection You have to know how to train and rest and diet to get good results The only people that use them are people who are going to use them regaurdless and are now breaking the law Most people that use gear are honest, hardworking family people who are now comitting a felony as the result of a dracian law. Over the last 15 years the prison population has gone from a few hundred thousand to 2 million in the US The US locks up more of its citizans than any other country!

I was not my intention to be contentious with my position. I just wanted to engage in a discussion on the topic. I can accept positions that are contrast to mine. However, I can't stand it when folks launch epithets at others who have a view that opposes theirs. To those folks, especially Your-Moms-Kneepads, I say a great big, "FUCK YOU ASSHOLE!" Of course I believe it should be controlled, but it shouldn't be criminalized. Is HGH criminalized? If not, I think that is a huge hypocrisy! HGH and AS share similar attributes--increase in muscle mass and decrease in fat. |
