I can't stop eating or thinking about food. I can eat, and eat and eat and binge eat all day and all night practically and still not be full. I've tried EC (makes me eat faster), I've tried adderral, I've tried ritalin, I've tried high protein diets, low carb diets, etc. etc. etc., yet still I can pinch about an inch on my stomach...no matter what kind of diet I go on after a while my appetite takes over and I way overeat and can't hardly stop. I obsess over food all the time it seems like...either food or how I can get stronger. I'm 5'10", 172 lbs, but I want to be a little under 165 for powerlifting because that is what I love doing. I'm flat out desperate...I've tried giving myself mouth sores but that isn't even as well as I need it to. Is there anything out there that works good for extreme appetite? My current fina cycle only seems to be making it worse. Should I just say fuck it and go on a DNP+T3+Fina+EC stack and allow myself to eat a little more? Or could it be that my body really doesn't want to be this small and going to take over my mind and give me another growth spurt(I'm 18)? Thanks for any advice, DeadliftEuphoria.

What part of Mi are you in? Drop carbs and you won't get hungry. Carbs are what hunger is triggered by. Eat dude. Get big and strong not small and strong.

Being hungry is your body's way of saying, "I'm trying to grow." I respect your efforts at powerlifing, but you probably ain't gonna make a career out of it. Don't try to stay smaller than your body wants to be for some stupid highschool sport. The rewards will be much greater if you get bigger. Are you from Michigan? Where do you work

Well I powerlift a little more than paperclips...my current bests are 245 bench (should be MUCH higher after the fina), 385 squat, 485 deadlift. Yeah I know some of you big guys lift that with your belts tied behind your back, but anyway...if I felt like it and put another 10 lbs on my deadlift I could go down to the indiana USAPL meet whenever that's coming up and set a record for deadlift and prolly get 1st place in my weight class (if I got back into that weight class that is). Think I will cut the carbs back some as Kahn said...them suckers are like lsd, they make you rationalize doing shit that you don't really want to do (like overeating). Guess I'm really gonna have to consider this...is it better to be really strong for your weight, or better to be really strong compared to most other people but only fairly strong for your weight. I hate these philosophical/life type questions. I'm in the southern most part of the state. If you know where elkhart indiana is, I live right north of there...also close to niles, dowagiac, etc. I workout in a small gym/fitness center just inside indiana. I take it there are at least a few other MI brothers here?

I'm from a little closer to Motown. If you are on the verge of setting some records, do what you gotta do...but don't stunt yourself permanently by denying your body what it is asking for.

I've seen 165lbs. powerlifters who could bench way more than your average 220lbs. bodybuilder. If you really want to compete at 165 I would ask a skilled powerlifting coach, I don't think it is anyone's forte' here. |
