I've been in Houston since Wednesday at a APA convention. I didn't evne think about hollarin' at my Houston bros before I left.
I worked out at the Baley's Fitness while I was there; cool little gym.

Ohhhh.. I remember what you were talking about. hehehe
I don't know what the gout question was, but as far as the protein that is easiest on the kidneys, something like Optimum Nutrition or any other concentrat will be a lot easier on your kidneys.

The reason is that it doesn't contain as much protein. The problem with kidneys while taking large doses of protein stems from the break down of the protein. The chemical formula of amonia is NH4. Whenever large amounts of protein are consumed, there is a high nitrogen content in the body.
Water is broken down in to H+H+H+H and O2 in the cristae which lies in the outer wall of the mitochondria. The O2 is on the inside of the mitochondria and the H is on the outside. This chemical gradient pulls the H electron across the cristae to join it with the O2 that is on the inside and makes H2O again. This process is called the electron transport chain. The huge energy release that results from the H being yanked through the cristae makes tiny of high energy sparks which are coupled to ATP production.

Well, not all of the H that is on the outside of the mitochondria makes it into the electron transport chain. Some of it joins to the nitrogen that is a by product of protein metabolism and makes NH4 which must be excreted from the cell and is a bitch on the kidneys. The more nitrogen you have in your body, the more amonia you will have building up in your kidneys. This is why anyone on AS should drink 1-2 gallons of water per day, to keep them flushed.

BTW, the way that DNP works is that it blocks the pathway that couples the "sparks" from the electron transport chain to ATP. Since the reaction isn't coupled, the energy builds up throughout the cells in your body and as a result increases the body heat.

This is also one way that the body regulates its own body heat (antagonising ATP electron transprot chain coupling).

The trip was awsome. I blew everyone away with my research and made some damn good connections that are probably going let me into their Ph.D program next year and waive my tuition and fees.
The only part that sucked was having to drag myself away from this cute little honey that I'd met from Kansas

Ah, I knew you had some info here, Stew. My gout question disappeared to the back pages, but basically, out of nowhere my right knee swelled up, got red and hot to the touch, and was very painful. I thought I had an infection from leg injections, but the Doc said it was gout from too much protein, or too much of the wrong kind of protein - red meat. Pretty hard to achieve the results we want on reduced protein, and I eat steak every day.....shit, I hate tuna.
I'll follow your advice on protein, cut out orals for a while, try the cherry juice, and see what happens. These docs just throw meds at you, but that's a short term fix, although the vicodin is nice.......
Hope the easter bunny put redijects in all your baskets, bros.
