You should know better, arm size should not be an indicator of the tape measure but rather the heigh and bone size of the individual.

Peace

Tell that to Lee Priest, one of the shortest with some of the biggest. If asked one would reply 20", 21" and so on, just a number is what I am looking for.

Growing Painz my point is as follows:

Man A & Man B both the same height.

Man A is 210lbs at 5'10 with 17 inch biceps
Man B is only 205lbs at 5'10 with 17 inch biceps and has smaller less dense bone capacity. He is going to look much bigger on stage than Man A.

Jersey Boy you posted a question I posted my honest opinion and answer. Chill out

Peace

Iron,
My point is simply not a matter of illusion, however is one were to ask, there must be a number that is associated with the interpretation of a well accomplished goal. This is a matter of my curiosity of those on the board and their idea (perhaps a goal) of something to aspire to.

got 17's now but looking for 20's. note my bf is still high @ 17% so they're probably like 16.5 of solid muscle. I'm 6'0" and 215. Notlooking for bigger arms but working my ass off to get bigger arms!

It depends, and it is not important if you are not symmetrical.

You are in for a shock, if you ever diet down. No offence, cause I too learned the hard way. Loosing 10-15% bodyfat will cost you way more in arm size than you have estimated

aburgtank, if you are lucky, you will only loose 1 1/2 inch to get that ripped look.

you said it bro. if anyone has dieted from even 15%bf, then you know you will be lucky if you loose 3/4 inches from the guns. it seems that when i diet, the arms are the first to go.

It depends on where the majority of the bodyfat is located... I have very little bf on my arms, shoulders, legs, and chest... But most of my 125 is on my stomach... So it depends on where the majority of the fat is

Rugby, have you ever lost down to a 6 pack?
I am the same as you, most fat around the middle. I have visible veins in my triceps, and crossing my bi's. Still my arm size will go down. If you have fat on your midsection you can squeeze, you have fat on your arms. It can also be intramuscular and not visible. Don't fool yourself.

I measured 20 even on my last arm workout. I was so stoked, now I am shooting for 21. I am going to try and keep them even with my age until I hit 24 or so. My 20th birthday is a week from monday, so I guess I am a week ahead of schedule.

I think 23 will look big for me.

Rugby.......I am not much of an expert, but by "most of your 125" being around your stomach do you mean you weigh 125 pounds? I am not poking fun, its an innocent question from the newbie?

I am considering "elite" to be that which is barely attainable to those who have tried and failed. Or perhaps to those who have tried and failed, only to succeed with an all out war on the guns!
None of this has to do with symmetry or balance (although I feel important).
I want to know when you guy's hear that this guy's arms are ? inches and you know he is is good shape, that it makes you say hmmmm!!!!

To me anything over 17" is respectable if you are not a fat ass, I have 19" guns at 270lbs 11% and 6"ft, I want 21" guns to look in proportion to my chest and back.
