I have read that steriods can cause it, but I think they are refering to cortical steriods, prednesone and the like.

I have always thought excersize and roids would develop bone build up. I take my calcium, mag and zinc everyday.

Any one know about this?

Steroids is a broad class of drugs.
They come in two flavors...anabolic
and catabolic.

yes, the report you read was referring to cortico steroids. anabolics have the opposite effect.

btw, cholesterol is a steroid and is neither anabolic or catabolic. steroids are very broad ranges of chemicals where the carbons are arranged in a highly symmetrical and repetitive pattern of rings. it's much broader than just anabolic and catabolic.

Don't forget High protein diets need extra calcium. This could lead to bone loss regardless of AS

I have a high protein diet and take 1200 to 1500 mg of calcium with mag, and zinc.

My left hip on the last total revision used
cadaver bone, it is now only supported by about 1/3 of what should be there. I only have 2 screws left as they had to remove the big one in 97. So I am facing another surgery and have no insurance. Shit I would rather be dead to deal with this pain and the related problem.

Screw Dr.'s I don't trust many at all.
