Man I was hurt a few weeks back in an accident and got some vicaproffen. I usually take one pill before I work shoulders, chest or biceps. It is working fantastic. I can do heavier weights and more reps with out having you know the slight pain that breaks your concentration when you lift. I still think I would feel a sharp pain( I mean it is nothing like novacane or anything)but it does dull the disconfort in the forarms and shoulders when you lift. Is this a bad idea? Does anybody else do it? ![]() ![]() ![]()

The biggest concern would be that you are just "masking" the pain, and can do more damage than already has been done. The body does try to tell us things, hence the pain.. I am not going to preach about it, i am guilty of this myself, but now you can't say you were never told.. Also be careful, i know a couple of guys who got hooked on them, real quick.. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I know ya'll are right to be careful with it. But I am just a pain wuss. In otherwords I have a crappy tolerance for pain(that's why I like pleasure better ![]() So it(pain in the forearms and joints) really interferes with me going heavy and I like to lift heavy otherwise I don't feel like I am accomplishing anything. ![]() ![]() ![]()

I am guilty also I have severe tendonitis in both elbows and they hurt so f*ckin bad when i work chest or back or arms that that I can't get any thing done so i take a hydro before I work out and I can get through it and actually have a very intense workout feeling nno pain just the pressure from the inflamation but I get the workout done. After a while it will go away but it sucks while it is acting up. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I think this is solid advice...Just because the you can't feel the pain doesn't mean your not doing damage..I mean I not preaching since I'm not a doc, and don't know exactly what's wrong..I'm just saying be careful...you could end up getting worse or re-injured...then you wouldn't be able to workout at all for a while...either way I would check with your doc to see what's up.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

There is a big difference between pain threshold and pain due to injury... A half a scoop of G before training will reduce many aches and add motivation. One (1) cc of Nubain (20mg/cc) administered subcutaneously 15 minutes before or intermuscular 30 minutes before training will enable one to push beyond a pain threshold. But if its a true injury, masking the pain will just f*ck you up more. Plus, your body will become more efficient breaking the painkiller molecule down (i.e. opiate) thusly, requiring a bigger dosage for effect causing an even greater dependency I know some long term users of Ultram that, although capable of abuse, is not an opiate... A drug like Vicodin is what Brett Favre and many others became more psychologically addicted to than physically. But see I only take one pill on three days a week. Do you really think that the body can get used to that dosage? Also I only plan on doing this until my pain goes away from the accident(bad accident). See I was on week three of my cycle and did not want to stop and this is the only way I could keep lifting Heavy! Oh one more question. Is iubuffren(sp) catabolic inotherwords counter productive when using gear? ![]() ![]() ![]()

Actually it is a NSAIA/S Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Agent/Substance -- that should be pretty benign regarding any catabolic nature. In fact, it could very well be the opposite. I cant remember the mechanism involved but, while it is truly a very weak anti-inflammatory drug, it does not accelerate the degradation of Nitrogen retention etc. in the muscle. Just my opinion. ![]() ![]() ![]() |
