I cannot believe how stupid some of the posters on these boards can be. I rarely see any vets do this, but so many new guys all answer the questions: How tall are you? How many of you from [Name a city]? What college you go to? What nationality are you? Add those up, throw in other stuff you say about yourselves in other posts where you give advice ("I work as a databse programmer, I work as a trader on Wall street, I own a Ram Truck, I'm a history major") and simply by using the archives function on this board and a few others, I literally can have an entire bio on you, short of your social security number. All I'm saying is that you should be a little more careful. Think that cycle you want to try is a little expensive? Try $8 grand on a lawyer to get you off the hook...     | ||

Now come on !!!! If you were a big distributer... sure... they'll want to build a file on you. But they aren't gonna waste their time (and money) building 1000's of files trying to track down a normal user (like most of us). Oh wow, they know my age and nationality... that narrows it down! | ||

IMHO I disagree. Web based criminal activities are just a piece of the pie for gov officials. And then, think of all the other sites that are top priority to law enforcement (race haters, weed growers, coke dealers, militia etc etc). Now, consider the shitload of sites and pages and boards that are very similar to this one AND the number of people on each site!? That a lot of individual bios to develop. You think they're gonna come after you for asking about drinking winny? Its like saying USPS opens every package from overseas. Just my $.02 | ||

Hey, it doesn't matter to me how you handle yourselves. I'm just saying to be careful. Sure it is just "information" we discuss here. But if you get arrested, and they can link you to 1,000 posts on roids, the "I don't know anything about this" excuse will not fly in court. As for manpower, what does it take? Pay a couple of summer interns from college $7.50/hour to sit on the boards all day. Now the govt most likely does not have actual profiles, but if they ARE building a case against you for whatever reason, you're just helping to incriminate yourself. And as for sources still being around... You can count on one hand how many sources are still around from 2 years ago. Most that still are, are foreign. Spunky -- last time I checked, doing upwards up 1,000mg of cyp a week is quite illegal in the US. Am I being paranoid? I don't think so. I just think you shouldn't treat this like there is no risk at all. Better to be a little over-cautious than to pay later. | ||

The FBI has some kind of profile for EVERYBODY (birth cirt....Drivers License...Soc Sec...you name it). trust me, i know this. and if they wanted to know if one of us were using roids...they will find out regardless of weather or not you post some info about you on here. ------------------ | ||

The feds dont track boards like this. I could say im 6'4 210lbs and asian but I could realy be 5'3 150 lbs and white. The feds just dont have the manpower. And they could never prove who was on this end posting info , Could be me could be my buddy that comes over to hang out coulb be my spouse could be my dog. They can trace an isp they can trace alot of things but they can not prove who posted what from what comp. | ||
