I was wondering what all you guys who compete eat between the morning and night show. I was planning on eating a small portion of chicken and potato every 2-3 hours and stop about 3 hrs before night show. Then before I pump up have something sugary. What do you all think?

I've heard of guys doing all kinds of things like "carbing up" on Snickers bars. It all depends on how your body reacts. I would definitely eat or drink something with sugar befor the night show. Some guys say that they load up on sodium the day of the show to get their veins to pop out.

What show are you doing? I'm going to one this weekend.

Thanks for the advice. It is the NPC Eastern States Classic in Bristol, TN. Lee Priest is supposed to guest pose but after his heart virus I'm not sure if he will be able to. I hope so, the guy is my idol. So you think my plan sounds good?

Did you carb deplete? If so carb up. My last show I had carb depleted without even knowing it and between the prejudge and night I ate bread, oatmeal, and baby food also drank some red wine and I looked a hell of alot better when I went back out.

I just competed Saturday and placed 1st! I am competeing again this weekend.
last year I was flat so this year I talked to a few guys that compete all the time and this is what I did..
I carb depleted and sodium depleted, I cut water thursday night, I then ate a 6" meatball sub from sub way, then before bed had a 1/4 gallon of healthy choice ice cream (butter cup mmmm)sorry anyway...I got up at 5:30 am and went to Denny's and had waffels with strawberries and whipped cream, along with a side of hash browns...I then had gummy worms and wine about 1/2 hour before going on stage, it worked awsom, I have never come in so vascular and hard. I am doing the same thing again this week. Oh I carbed up starting 9:00am on Friday Morning by eating 3-4oz of sweet potatoes until I weighed in.

between the prejudging and the night show, I went to subway again and had another sub and ate some chocolate rice cakes...

this is what I really did, I am not joking. I know it worked for me and other guys that I have talked to, they say the number one mistake guys make is not carbing up enough and being flat on stage. The guys also claim that the sugar and dairy that you are eating is absorbed so fast that it will have no effect on your skin, but will make it seem tighter because of great muscle pumps and an increase in vascularity...
I have some other tips if you want them email me.

where is your show? approximatly? just wondering
