My weight fluctuates daily. I can put I usually put on about 5 pounds in a day. By the time I am awake the next day, I have lost it and have to eat another days worth of food. I guess I could gain good if I ate all night long. rxderrick

One pound is the equivalent to 3,500 calories. just a quick factoid ... also a pound of fat is the size of a softball ...

My training bud is aiming for an overall gain of 40 lbs of muscle in 3 years, backdated to March 1999, so, if all goes well, he will be 40 lbs heavier, (essentially all muscle) in March 2002...this is obviously a reachable goal, and an ectomorph at that. If you are a true mesomorph, perhaps 40lbs in ONE year is possible, yet still, a lofty goal.

My weight can fluctuate anywhere from 5-10 lbs daily, all it is is water and glycogen. One pound of lean mass per week naturally= impossible. Anyone would be lucky to gain even just a half pound per week naturally, and that's if all the conditions are right.

then there is that guy in the ad who put on 40lb naturally in 10 weeks. Haaaaaa...the only person who's put on that much weight in 10 weeks is Mustang and he certainly didn't do it naturally

I'm not really sure I'd want to gain one pound of muscle a week, I'd be a little bit worried it was fast and cheap muscle brought about by the roids. Dense muscle just takes time to build up, the greatest powerlifters don't and didn't peak until they were in their 30's. This after working out half their life. And most of those guys don't hold a candle to pro bb's in terms of sheer muscle size, but their muscles are definitely stronger and harder packed, even though on most of them you couldn't see it because of the healthy layer of fat they have. But look at guys like uko ahola, he was around 260-265, but one of the most densely muscled men I've ever seen in my life.
