I mean I am on week 4 of sos/dec and I feel like I am not getting bigger. Then I will see people that I haven't seen in a while and they say, "man, dude you are getting big".

But when I look in the mirror I just don't feel like I am getting big as I should from the amount of work I am doing in the gym and the gear.

So I am starting this week to work every muscle group out twice a week instead of once.

A question for ya'll if you are on a sos/dec cycle, how much bigger should your arms be at the end of the cycle(8 weeks)? I am talking about measuring the arm unflexed in the morning. Would a inch be to much to ask for by the end of the cycle?

Anyway I was just wondering if we will ever feel we are big enough?

Personally I got NEAR an inch on my cycle of sos. AS for the big enough question; I have to say that so far I say no it never seems "enough". Seems like no matter how big I get I still see the skinny high school kid in the mirror..... BUT I do enjoy the comments from others!

You will not notice the size because you will look in the mirror every day. You will know your big enough when you keep having to buy new clothes and run out of money....lol

The technical term is muscle dismorphia. Its the opposite of anorexia, or bulemia. It means that you can never be too big in your own eyes. It proven in the medical field, I know I have it.

I don't think I can ever be big enough. People are always saying "oh, you're so big. you're big enough. you don't need to be get any bigger." But, the way I see it, is that the day I stop trying to get bigger or more cut or more anything is the day I stop going to the gym. I couldn't possibly go to the gym and workout with enough intensity to maintain if that's all I was trying to do. I wouldn't feel like there was a point to it and since I'd be ditching workouts and being a pussy I would start to shrink. That's one thing I can say for damn sure. Even if I never get any bigger(god, I sure a fuck hope not!) I can never get any smaller without feeling like a little girl. I'm not nearly big enough now. If I shrunk, then I'd really be pathetic. AHHHHHH! The muscle dysmorphia is rearing its head again.

That's the main reason my g-friend is hesitant on me starting AS. She knows how I've always had an inferiority complex about myself and that I'll never stop once I start b/c I'll never be satisfied. But I guess I'll have to see when I start.

Oops, let me amend my former post. When(there is no if about it) I look like Arnold, then I might feel big enough. Of course, then there's always trying to get one more striation or a slightly deeper set of abs. Will it never end!

Net everyone wants to be huge. I am about 5'9", I cant see wanting to be more than maybe 210 lbs - max.

I think a godo think to do verforr every cycle is to take a full round of measurements of each body part, get a body fat composition, and also get a friend to take a full set of posing pics.

That will help you see or measure before/after results.

I know I will get as big as I want to get. Unlike alot of others posting here, I look in the mirror and can see the changes I have made in my body. I probably don't notice it as much as other people that don't see me that often, but i do notice just about every week that i look better than the week before. Maybe it's because this is not an obsession for me, like so many others, but more of a hobby and to keep myself busy and out of trouble (unless of course I get caught with the gear).

I'm with you on that KrazyK. I too, can see my improvements each week. However, how can you ever be big enough still? You might improve every week and all, but after you get 21" arms how can you stop? Why not go for 22"? There's always bigger. What's the point of lifting if it ain't for perpetual improvement?

The other day it finally got up into the 70s and I was walking around the house with my shirt off. Everyone was acting like I was super-jacked up. I'm only 180lbs. I'm in good shape, but no where near I want to be. I mean compared to my family and friends, I simply blow them all away, but relatively, I don't think I'm that big.

You normally never notice the gains or changes yourself. You see yourself everyday. Best way to go about this is to take before and after pics. You will be amazed when you can see two different you's side by side as opposed to the one you which you see in the mirror everyday. I'm 225 and I think I look no different than I did at 190...The I look at pics. I feel like a knat at 225 so there's no telling where this is going. Right now my goal is 280(off season weight). I know once I get there I'l want 20 more pounds though.

I totally agree with you. Right now, I just wanna get up to 185 ripped, and i will be happy. But then I'm sure I will want to get up to 195, then 220, and so on. But I try to set small goals and not look beyond them until I reach them.

Thanks Mike80 that does sound about right for me. I see myself getting bigger, I know that my clothes are tighter BUT it never seems big enough. It is especially bad because I will be out at a bar and say "when I am as big as that guy I will be happy", but what I have noticed is that I keep picking bigger and bigger guys.....

just be patient buddy. working each muscle group 2x a week isn't gonna do the trick. better to hit it really hard once a week. don't worry. size will come.

I think the BIG just happens, because its only alternative is less big which equates to small in our own minds. By this I mean, try taking just 6 days off from all exercise. You wont actually do any real shrinking in that time, but you would be more hesitant to take that shirt off than you would be had you been lifting normally. You only feel at your best when accomplishing the workout stanard you have set for yourself as a "good workout", and in regularaly acomplishing this standard...you must continue to grow. But what do i know...Im only a "cool novice"....HAAA....OUT

Man, wait until you guys start to peak. I was like most of you, always looking forward to the next bulking cycle. Every year it was more and more weight. I got to where I could hit 250 hard as nails after cutting in the spring. After a couple of years of that though, I wanted more. So, starting last fall, I said fuck it, and threw everything I could get my hands on into a 16 week cycle. I Hit 308 as pretty as you please. I lost over 20 a month after coming off because I had that much water bloat, but I still have 285 pounds that looks pretty solid and it's killing me! I'm freaking strong right now, but I am too short of breath to play with my kids. I'm busting ass to get to 265 and don't care how unimpressed people are with it. I'm too big for my cardio vascular system right now and it is taking a toll. I think 265 is my healthy limit. The moral of the story is fellows, be careful what you wish for. There is a point where you will be too big. As for me, moderate is the key where future cycles are concerned. I know you guys have not hit your peaks yet, but when you do, watch out. In the mean time, enjoy and stay healthy.

I didn't used to think that I would ever be big enough. But over this last spring break I dieted down to 276 lbs. I had some nice abs, and my serratus were showing really good. This was the firdt time I was almost satisfied with the way I looked. Almost.
