Probably going to get flamed for this but thought I'd just add my two cents worth. First off, I realise that a decent first cycle (or any cycle for that matter) should contain injectables as well as orals.
Secondly, I know there are alot of guys here who are far more experienced than me but I just want to relate my little story.
My first cycle was d-bol (which I call anabol over here) and I did the exact regimen as follows:
wks 1-2 took 2-3 per day.
wks 3-4 took 3-4 per day.
wks 5-6 took 4-5 per day.
wks 7-9 took 5-7 per day.
wks 10-11 took 3-5 per day.
wks 12-16 took 2-4 per day.
I tended to take one to two days off every week or two - mostly weekends because that is when I rested usually.
I always took one tab or two before a workout and the rest I tried to spread as evenly as I could over the day.
I gained approx 30 pounds over this cycle. My max bench went from (all natural) unspotted sets of 308 pounds for 8-10 reps to 352 pounds for 8-10 (and 280 for 15-18 easily).
I felt incredible. No side effects and heaps of confidence, not just in the gym either.
I did carry alot of water admittedly and when I came off I started to lose weight and strength quickly. But I managed to hold on to at least 15 pounds of it and while my max weights fell I could still push 330 pounds for unspotted sets of 6-10.
I know that there are a number of people here who have said that an all oral cycle of d-bol is a waste of time completely. I don't agree. While I do think if I had the chance to do it again I would have done it differently for sure I am pleased with what I got that first time.
I don't like to recommend anything to anyone as I myself don't have the expertise that some do have here on this board. But I will say this - if, and only if you are dead keen on doing a cycle and all you can get is a few hundred d-bol then you might as well give it a go. Just make sure you eat big, train hard (but intelligently) and go from there. Alot of other gear is very hard to get and d-bol is usually the easiest to aquire. As a first cycle, while it is not ideal it is worth trying (all in my humble opinion).

Additionally I should mention that I was well into my 20's when I first used gear. I also had trained naturally for about 6 years on and off before using gear. I weighed about 185 pounds when I started training at 19 years old (and about 6 foot 3"). The heaviest I got naturally was approx 240ish and took that up to around 300 pounds with gear (2 cycles).

240lb to 300lb is 60lb in two cycles.
You say you held 15lb from your dbol only cycle, so are you trying to tell us you put on and kept a further 45lb on your 2nd?

I agree with you man, i,m on my 4th week at the moment and gained around 12 pound i'm hoping to put on at least another 10 on before i finish my cycle in about another 4 weeks and hope to keep at least half.

Strengthmonster - yeah that's about the size of it. I have always been fairly good at increasing my weight naturally anyhow - mainly by increasing the food and the rest.
However, yes I did put on around 40-45 pounds on my second cycle. I used sus, deca, anabol and alot of creatine in order to do this. Also remember it was my second cycle and my body had never experienced sus or deca before. But I can say this - that since I gave up training and stopped the calories it took little over 11 months to come back to 245 pounds. I've now been back in the gym for about 1 1/2 months and I already have climbed to 280 pounds (naturally) but my waist has increased a few inches. Also I threw in a few tabs of andriol a while back (about 40 capsules over 3 weeks).
