it's debatable. lack of atp causes cell death. dnp causes atp levels to fall. i haven't seen any evidence of a direct correlation of dnp catabolizing muscle tissue in the way that cortisol catbolizes it. dnp may have an indirect effect because it in effect puts you in calorie deficit while you're on. it is difficult to maintain mass any time you're in this calorie deficit, but eating copious amounts of protein would definitely help.
