who has ever gotten serious rashes with DNP? since DNP is a potent antigen for IgE antibodies, just wondering how many of you have experienced this side effect with high doses. i personally never have, but one of my customers got a REALLY bad case of it. he wants to know when he can use it again and i told him i'd refund his money, but to NEVER use it again. i just want to hear some second opinions from people who have had first hand experience with this phenomenon.     | ||

Personally i think you are asking for trouble and some serious side effects if you are going to use dnp at large doses. Even on 2 caps (400mgs) i lost something close to 20lbs. Just my opinion,but really,i mean really respect this stuff. | ||

I got it pretty bad at the end of seventh day @ 600mg/day. It took about a week for it to go away. Do you know of any supplements I can take to prevent this from happening again? How about something to get rid of the rash if it has already started? Itched like a mofo and also felt like i had crabs or something . Thanks Munzer | ||

take an over the counter antihistamine like benadryl. don't get the ones with a nasal decongestant with them and stay away from the time released stuff. you're lucky you only had it for a week. there is nothing you can take to prevent them from happening again because your body is just reacting to dnp as if it were a foreign pathogen that poses a threat to your immune system so it reacts by releasing a lot of IgE antibodies to kill the dnp. unfortunately these antibodies are only good for releasing a shitload of histamine and cause rashes to form on the skin. not everyone has this reaction, but a select few do, so unfortunately you probably won't be able to take dnp again at that high dose. you can try a low extended dose of dnp in addition to antihistamines if you really want to use dnp again. did you get any of these other symptoms? ------------------ | ||

rashes and hives (looked like i waled through poison oak) And after that, severe swelling in joints (namely hands, elbows and knees and the almost esophegous (sp)) My hands swelled up so bad i couldnt close my hands. They looked like fat mittens. Im fucking pissed cuz i loved that shit! | ||

lol. guess it's not really funny, but how long did it last for you? it may have been my mind playing tricks on me, but i think i got a hint of a rash last time too, but that was my 12th cycle, so i don't know why it would have hit me so late. if you still have the itchy rashes an OTC antihistamine really does the trick. the prescription allegra and claritin don't work as well. | ||

This is kind of off the subject, but I was taking Lipokenetic, which is "suppose" to act like DNP to some degree. Anyway, after about 2.5 weeks of taking it I got a rash that iched like a bitch. I quit taking it for about a week and went back on at a lower dose, but about 4 days later I got another rash in a different spot (the other one went away). So I quit taking it all together, the rash went away, and so did my weightloss. I questioned the makers of LIPOKENETIC, and they said this is a rare occurance, but there is nothing that can be done about it. They also said it was not harmfull, but didn't recommend staying on it any longer. I've never tried DNP (would like too) but I hope this helps. | ||

good info punkrocker. if you're allergic to usnic acid then there's a good chance you'll be allergic to dnp as well. let me know how your dnp cycle goes. | ||

i had it on my 1st or 2nd Dnp, i was using 6-7mg per kg (it was 3 or 4 days into the cycle). once ive got the rush i've tried anthistamine cream and since it didnt seemed to do the trick i've stoped the cycle. i've thatn took a 4-5 monthes break from DNP. and the only srange thing that happend to me the next cycle was some darkening of my skin. | ||

no, the next cycle was a litle higher i think it was around 8 mg per kg (i've since tried dose up to 10 mg per kg), i was looking for rush signs at the 1st couple of days and havn't had it since. even if the guy is source posting, DNP isn't exectly illegal, only it's use as a fat burner is. | ||

for about 2 days, i had the rash (antihistamines didnt work), and then i developed the swelling. I got some prednisone and that cleared me up in about 3-4 days, if i remember right. It was like June of 2000 this happened, havent touched the stuff since. I have however used Lipo K (usnic acid). |
