I am a very hard gainer. Will this diet still let me gain muscle and drop fat. Its going to be hard to give up the brew. Want to look better more than i want to party. Any info would be very helpful. bro i have to say do one or the other. if you are a hardgainer then you have to go strictly for mass. and that means eating a lot and gaining, yes gaining some fat. that can be shed off at another time. right now get some meat on those bones. (not saying your skinny)

Fat will make you fat (though some is needed). Carbs will raise insulin levels which is the most anabolic hormone in our bodies. Insulin will actively transport amino acids across the cell nucleus and increase anabolism.
The more protein you get, the better, but if you do'nt have sufficient carbs, that protein will be burned as energy. And since protein will not store as glycogen, your workouts will be fueled by the breakdown of your existing muscle for energy.

You think you look like shit now, just wait.

If you are bulking, eat whatever the hell
you want. You WILL get fat, but unless you
are a machine, you just won't get the
calories that you need unless you are eating
shit that tastes good. For me that includes
lots of fats.

HAVE TO SAY LOW/NO CARB DIETS WITH A.S. DO ALLOW YOU TO GROW AND STAY LEAN. I'VE TRIED ALL THE DIETS, AND PREFER LOW CARB. NOTHING ELSE GETS ME RIPPED. TRY IT AND SEE HOW IT WORKS FOR YOU.

Just eat clean alot of chicken breasts, steak, lean hamburger, and eggs. Try eating every 2 hours so that you get more meals in a day and your metabolism will speed up. Also depending at what time of day you get out of the gym try cutting carbs out after your post gym meal

I second what Stew said. If you're trying to gain leanness should be last on you things-to-do list. Carbs provide for a very anabolic environment. I also hope you're eating more than 50MG of fat. That amount is miniscule and of no use to the body. 50G should be minimum. You need some fat...healthy mono and poly unsaturated ones. They are vital for various body functions and health. Poly-unsaturated(especially omega-3 fatty acids) serve a very valuble role of increasing insulin sensitivity. This is necessary and of great benifit while maintaining an optimal anabolic state. If you are a hard gainer you should foccus soley on gaining mass. Being that you're a hard gainer you need the calories and you need to spare all the protein you can to build muslce mass. Carbs serve the purpose of caloric energy for lifts providing the muscles with the necessary glycogen not only to fuel intense training sesions but also to fill the muscle up and make them "swell" up. The most vital role in my opinion of carbs is that they spare the protein you consume and the skeletal muscle priotein from being converted to glucose to fuel the body. If your protein is being used to meet energy requirements then it sure is hell isn't being put to good use, at least for our purposes, by being used to regenerate and build muscle tissue. Carbs also cause the release of insulin...The bus to take the nutrients to the cells. This enables skeletal muscle cells to absorb the required amino acids needed for anabolism. It also prevents catabolic effects from degrading muscle tissue. If you're a hard gainer as you say you are eat. Don't worry about being ripped to shreds if you want to grow.
