Hey fellas,
I am on my third week of a deca cycle and i am amazed at the recovery time i am experiencing.

I was wondering if it would be okay to switch to a different workout split because of the increased recovery. Right now i am doing the following...
Mon CHEST TRI
Tue SHOULDER
Wed BACK BI
ThurLEGS
Fri CHEST(laging training)

I want to switch to the 3 days on 1 day off split like...
Day 1 Chest Tri
Day 2 Back Bi
Day 3 Shoulder Legs
Day 4 Rest
Repeat

I get my 8-9 hours of sleep a night. Would switching to only one day of rest okay. I want to be able to work each bodypart more because the recovery time is faster.

Are any of you guys doing this same split or something similiar. Let me know what you guys think, Thanks, LAter!

I'D STICK WITH YOUR CURRENT REGIMEN. ITS BETTER FOR YOUR JOINTS/TENDONS/LIGAMENTS ANYWAY, AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO TAKE A WEEK OR TWO OFF BECAUSE YOU OVERTRAIN. I TAKE ALMOST EVERY SET TO FAILURE, SO TWICE A WEEK WOULD BE TOO MUCH FOR ME.

I'm like Big Johnson. I take everything to failure. I completely thrash my muscles with each workout. I do each muscle once a week to allow optimal recovery. It is better to slightly undertrain than to overtrain. Even though you are on you still need to maximize recovery. It's your body so only you know how it is funcioning and how it is responding but I think twice a week is overtraining for most everyone.

My training partner and I do the exact split you propose and it works well for both of us. Despite going to failure the recovery time has been sufficient and we have doing this split for 2 months now. Good Luck!

I agree. I have been getting great resluts over the past 20 years hitting all the major muscle groups once per week and then 1 day where ill work forearms, calves and a couple other smaller muscles that for me need to be worked alittle harder.
