Just wanted to introduce myself to the board. I am 28 and female - trying to get in shape again. Starting the gym this Saturday and have started dieting. I am 5 foot 7 and 140 lbs. Any tips on what to start at the gym (should I just do cardio for a week and then get into the weight training). Also what types of diets are you on? Mostly protein... or some carbs? I also need to know if any of you take anything to boost your energy. Thanks and check out my homepage and you can see my pic. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Welcome aboard sister.....my only advise would be to start off slow at the gym....w/ very low weights...concentrate on your form....good form is very important. After your workout, cardio would be a good idea....I try to do cardio at least 3 times a week. For energy, try xenedrine....then after you've been working out for a while you can move on to the harder stuff...if you want. Good luck!! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It's nice to see women on the board. I agree, do cardio AND weight training, but keep the weight low and the reps high for now. Good luck! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I would say do cardio and light weight lifting. That should do the trick for you ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
