I dislocted my shoulder about a year ago (no surgery) and i was planning on doing a cycle of Winstrol. Is this is a bad idea? Will the Winstrol increase the chances of another dislocation? ![]() ![]() ![]()

I would think you should be more worried about the weight and exercises that you would be doing instead of simply the Winny. ![]() ![]() ![]()

The Winny itself won't increase your risk of dislocating or subluxing your shoulder, but if you increase your poundages on your lifts too rapidly you may develop problems. You definitely want to avoid DB Flyes as they put your shoulder in a very unstable position if you have dislocated previously. I assume you have gone through an extensive rehab program to strengthen the rotator cuff muscles, if not you should. If you are young and fairly active, odds are that at some point you are likely to have another dislocation or recurrent problems with glenohumeral instablity. If it happens again your best bet is surgical repair of the glenohumeral ligaments, joint capsule and/or labrum. Hope this helps. Good luck. V3 ![]() ![]() ![]()

Well Said Veni, Vidi, Vici Sounds like you've dislocated your shoulder. So you have to decide what to do. If your still young and don't want to give up being active Get The Surgery. PERIOD...Winny will not do anything to help torn or stretched ligaments. You need surgery for that. The Downside to all of this is that you will need about 6 months(post op) before you can fully use that shoulder again but believe me its well worth it. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
