Last week when I was deadlifting, I felt a sharp pain in the lower right side of my pelvis. I was doing a moderate weight, 275lbs. I dropped the wieght down to 135lbs, but I still felt the sensation. Also, yesterday, while I was leg pressing I felt a sensation in my balls. Is this a hernia or something?

Sounds like a hernia bro, go see a doc, you don't want it to get worse.

I definitely agree, it sounds like hernia symptoms bro. Get it checked out by a doc asap. Otherwise, your insides might start poking out.

Has anyone had this before? If so how is it treated. I really don't want to miss any lifting days. I'll consult a doctor and hopefully I can just cut back on lifts that stress it.

Does one nut sack 'feel' bigger/fuller than the other?

Damn those things suck - good luck.

Actually, one is bigger than the other I have a varocile (sp?) on the left testes. I don't know if this has to do with anything, but all I know is that this blows. Funny thing is, it only affects me when I leg press or deadlift. Hmmm

Its cause your putting strain on it. Go see a doctor to make sure - and don't stand around holding your sack, doing fake coughs - it doesnt work You can however - if its progressed far enough - feel bumpy wierd stuff in one of your sacks. Its your intestines - see a doc, get it fixed. If thats what it is, you'll be walking around with a crutch. When they say no sex for a week - trust them. Or you'll blow out the stiching. Actually I found out I was allergic to codiene after my surgery. Nothing like vomiting while your holding yourself - trying to keep the guts from spilling out

Do you do heavy barbell shrugs? That exercise would also most likely aggrivate that region as well. As mentioned, get it checked out, none of us here know for sure whether or not it's a hernia. Good luck.
