The only difference is that the flavored shit is pre-mixed, only needing water while the straight powder or caps should be taken with grape juice (high in sugar) which helps absorption.

All that pre-mixed sugar is supposed to spark an insulin release which in theory is supposed to carry the creatine into the muscle tissue. Sounds great and all, but I'd stick with the powder creatine & just take it with grape juice, it would have the same effect. (please note: that some creatine supplements also have Glutamine added. I personally believe that Glutamine works like a charm if enough is taken, sorry just thought I would inform )

I tell ya what, I used to be a believer in glutamine too, but that crap turns me into a big zit! Why, I will never know, it kicks out 10 times the amount of acne I am getting off this deca/sus cycle.

creatine powder only seems to dissolves in hot water. It makes me very aggressive, anyone else had that problem?

Grubber, does the creatine make you aggressive, or does it just kind of put you in a bad mood. If so, sounds kind of like a blood sugar problem, what did you take it with? Alone or was it one of those "insulin-stimulating" mixes?

I have recently done a fair bit research into the creatine thing and had a successful three weeks on it...I actually, with diet, gained 6kg and put my bench up 40lb...

The most important thing is getting to the muscles and the above posts are correct. For exact suger levels the best product is Glucodin (Aussie, don't know what the equiv is in the states). We can get it a supermarkets etc about AU$5 for 500g.

The ratio of creatine (pure monohydrate, micronised) to glucodin is 1:3.

The dose:

20g a day for 1 week (loading) (60g glucose)
10g a day for 2 weeks (maintenance)(30g glucose)

That's a good amount for the average 75kg bloke probably up to about 100kg.

The caps are going to release slower into the system as the casing dissolves, which I can't imagine would help getting it into your system.

The other thing is, you should drop the drink about 30min to 1hr before you work out. How will you know? You'll get jumpy and you'll feel the extra pump...

...take time between sets, you'll be surprise how good the stuff is on your reps!

Good luck!
