I finsished my last cycle sust/eq at the end of December. I told myself that was it. I'll be 40 soon and decided that that would be my last cycle.
My problem is i'm dieting naturally and am losing to much muscle. So i need input on what to do. I'm 5'5" @ 176 now about 12%. My diet is 2000 cals ( 240g pro 140g carbs). I'm thinking about doing something mild to help retain muscle. I've done primo and eq in the past, but was thinking about something like Anavar.

Anavar, Primo is ok, but you need a testosteron to keep your muscles like Sustanon, Omnadren, test. enantat, propionat, etc...

Get the test. at least 500 mg/week.

Anavar, Primobolan - they are good, but not help you to KEEP your muscles much.

The reason you're loosing too much muscle is because you are only eating 2000cals a day. You need sufficient nutrient levels to support that muscle and 2000 calories is very low for a male and pushing it for a well developed female. Any anabolic will most certainly help retain muscle mass but you will still need adequate calories to provide the muscle with what they need. In my opinion 2000 cals isn't going to be enough to maintain mass.

it might appear that you are loosing too much muscle instead it can just be that you look flatt because your carbs are low, what tipe of carbs are you eating/ try carb loading for 2 days out of the week

ripped, I eat more carbs on my cheat days..usually Sat and Sun. Maybe I should try to up them somemore.

FYI - Monday-Friday i eat starches ( oatmeal, whole wheat bread, baked potato) only for meals 1-3. Meals 3-6 i only eat brocolli.

how do you know you are loosing too much muscle?? size getting smaller?? please explain
i had the same problem before as you mentioned and my diet was almost identical 3 meals with steamed brocoly i was loosing fat but my skin seemed loose and as if i was retaining water my sugestion would be to either get on a anti estrogen, do some test, as you mentioned that you are 40 now you should consider doing test on weekly basis. thats what i will do because at that age your test lewels decline, and try t-3 if fat loss is not going the way you wanted to, in my case the anti estrogen made a big difference then i did enanthate with t-3 i went from a 36 inch waist to a 30 inch waist with in 5 weeks
what i also did was the 3 meals that had carbs were from meal replacments and the other 3 chicken and brocoly i lost some size too but it was worth it cause most of it was in the form of stored glycogen(water) and my waist got so freeking small
fuck i got to do that againi been lazy past 3 weeks gained like 10 pounds
good luck

I have done natural body building shows in the past and have had the same problem. In order for me to get lean in the lower body I seem to lose all my mass in my upper body. I have been considering using Clen to help me lean down without losing as much muscle. Would this help? I am a female at 5'4" and 130 lbs., somewhere between 12-15% BF (I haven't measured lately). I'm getting ready to increase my cardio to get lean for summer. I hate the thought of losing so much of the muscle that I put on this winter. Just wanted some input on whether to try it or not. I finally was able to find it and now that I have it am double guessing whether to take it or not.

you can get lean without the use of steroids but not as fast or as easy. first of all bump your protein up!!! bump your fat intake up!!! take 20-30 grams BCAA's while you train as well as amino's throughout the day with your meals. have a good post-workout drink with 40-50 grams of protein, take your weight in kg times .8 to get the amount of maltodextrin you should have, 30 grams of glutamine, and then add a tablespoon of flax oil. the maltodextrin will spike your insulin levels and is very important. if you can afford it take some more BCAA's post-workout. people start relying too much on anabolics to do the work. why not take advantage of both worlds?

if you are loosing muscle while consuming 268 gr protein/day, well everybody looses muscle SIZE when cutting down to get a more ripped look.
E2 once said : if you want to get under 10 % of bodyfat it will cost you at least 2 inches on the arms.
Am i right E2? (if you read this of course).

you definitely need to raise your carbs bro, at that number your burning the protein for energy. take it up to 250 on carbs 250-275 on protein.
not meant to break stones but you wont lose muscle with that protein intake maybe you just werent carrying as much muscle as you thought go by the fit of your clothes or body composition b/f test, not the scale
40 isnt shit check the muscle mag this month my buddy joe won a viper at 41
i trained him diet/suppl/training
bastard didnt give me shit!!!!1 :-)

That is nonesense , correct diet and training in theory can keep all of your muscle and only lose fat.

I have GAINED a little size in my arms in the last 6 weeks and I have gone from 11% to 6% ( losted almost 15 lbs ).

It is all about how you do it.

This is what I do to diet down, with very minimal muscle loss. For 3 days, eat only about 0.4g of carbs, and 1.75g of protein. So for you, it's about 70g of carbs, and 310g of protein. Most of the carbs(40g), I would eat post-workout.

Then for 2 days eat moderate calories: 1g of carbs, 1.5g of protein, so 176g of carbs, and 260g of protein.

After those 5 days, carb load at 3g of carbs, and decrease protein to 1g. That's 525g of carbs and 176g of protein. Don't train on that day.

After those 6 days, I repeat one day of moderate calories.

You are fairly lean at 10-12% BF, your body has adapted to your caloric intake, and you are not eating enough in the first place.

I object I don't think if you are using winny and primo and or anavar you will still lose muscle, I just don't see that happening,
maybe Iam wrong but I never lost muscle, but then again everybody is different.
