While I am on my bulking cycle should I lift pyramids of 12,10, and 8 reps or 10, 8, and 6 reps? Or, should I not use pyramids at all and just lift heavy weight for 3 sets of 6 reps???? ![]() ![]() ![]()

When I'm bulking, I usually do 4-5 sets at 6-8 reps. Of course, you can use the shock method and hit up 10-25 sets if you feel like Tommy Tuff Nuts. While bridging or maintaining, I'll pyramid or do 4 sets of 10 reps. ------------------ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

How long is your cycle? If its more than 4 weeks (and I have a funny feelin it will be) you should use a variety of techniques. Periodize. Do pyramids or low reps for 4 weeks for strength. Then switch up to hypertrophy stuff (8-12 reps, short rest periods) for the next 4 weeks. You'll benefit from both. later. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
