If you are using steroids does that mean you can do more sets then when not using. Would the muscle recover faster when you are using steroids. (See my overtraining post on the training discussion board)

It really depends on the drug and dosage. I know when I was on tren and anadrol that I had to drop the volume some because I was handling much heavier weights than I was before. I had to allow extra recovery time because of this.

In a lot of instances it's easier to overtrain because of a drastic increase in training intensity. Most of the time you are handling heavier poundage with more power which stresses the muscles and nerves more so than usual. I honestly don't think one recover any faster on AS. You only compensate the stress more by getting bigger and stronger than you ormally would. You still need the recuiperation to recover from the intense training.

I beleive that, while muscular recovery is increased, the central nervous system is unaffected in terms of recovery with the use of AS. On a neurological level, the system is highly taxed when using AS and that can lead to systematic overtraining.

I find i recover much faster while on AS, however I think its because of the great response I get from my body. I still take some off days in there even though i don't really want to. I train 6 on 1 of for 2 and a half weeks the take 3-4 days off good as new and go at it again! But, thats what works for me!
