I have a friend who has chubby male breasts and he said he only works his chest once a week.

I recommended that he work it out whenever he isnt sore as it will help with ridding the fat.

Is this acceptable? He's not concerned with his strength, just wants to get rid of the fat that's why I figured this would be good for him.

There's no such thing as spot reduction. You lose fat equally from all sides of your body. If your friend wants to lose weight quickly then he needs to do some aerobics. Constant oxygen flow into your system will oxidize those stored fat into energy. He also have to eat less.

Look at it this way, have you seen a fat guy with a 6 pack? Nope.

That's completely illogical and incorrect. As stated you can't spot fat reduce. Genetics determine the patterns of fat storage and fat utilization. The only way to loose fat is to use more energy than you consume. If one does this the body will resort to fat to meet energy needs. Where the body begins to take that fat from is ENTIRELY up to genetics...not which body parts you work. Working chest whenever it isn't sore will most certainly lead to overtraining thus a decrease in muscle size making his chest look even more undefined and accentuating the flabbiness of it.
