My shoulder has been bothering me for about a month and three weeks now on the side and front part. I was just wondering if deca would help to heal it more quickly than just letting it rest and taking some motrin?

joint or muscle? joint possibly... but if i dont think a tear would "heal"... if your like me and its a cuff tear, then it could help strengthen the stabalizer muscles...

I think that it depends on your problem. The best thing to do is go to an orthopedic. Her is what is wrong with me. Back from the Orthopedic and I two problems in each shoulder. The first problem is that my collarbone and the shoulder blade bones are rubbing which has caused deterioration (a form of arthritis). He said that the only resolution for this is to cut out part of the bone. This does not seem to be causing the pain so I opted for a conservative approach. Fix the second problem first and see if I have any pain. When I asked what caused the problem he stated that the larger deltoid and chest muscles have grown faster than the supporting smaller muscles in the rotator cuff. Therefore, my arm socket is riding higher than it should. Not surprising since I was on 1 gram of AS for 12 weeks and I never worked out my rotator cuff muscleshehe After a very long debate I decided to let him give me an injection of 1cc of Celestone. Celestone is a cortical steroid. He assured me that the small dosage would not cause any atrophy. I also must do physical therapy to strengthen the rotator cuffs every other day for 4 6 weeks. And I can not do any exercises that I raise my arms above 90 degrees (no bench, military press, pull downs etc.) I can do flys for my chest and lateral raises with light weight for the deltoids. The deca helps the nutrients that supply the synovial fluid in joints. In theroy if you have a tissue problem in the joint itself, deca can augment the healing but it is not a subsitute for rest and thearpy, If it is just a strain deca SEEMS for me to help the pain subside, that is not a clinical fact just my opinion. In general I like to use deca if I'm having minor joint not muscle or tendon problems, It could all be in my head too.

I'd be sure of what you are dealing with before risking further injury. |
