I'm really excited, I got a letter of acceptance to med school today. For you military guys, I got selected for a scholarship through the Navy and I'm trying to decide if I should take it or not. I don't know what it would be like being a doc in the navy. Any opinions?

you will not be paid like a civilian doctor, dude. you will be paid by your military rank because, of course, if the navy is going to pay for it they will want some time out of your ass!! don't worry, the military is a great place to start. it will open all kinds of doors even when you decide to transition back into the civilian world. good luck!!!!

Congrats bro....take the scholarship. Military docs have it made. Serve a few years and then debt free when they hit civilian practices. You'll have the world by the balls! V3

Bro,
You won't have a life the first 2 years of med school no matter where you go. Take the navy scholarship, it's an awesome way to start.
