I was thinking about taking paxil for social anxiety and have heard from some of you it works great. I am 6'4 240,What dosage should I take     | ||

I was on Paxil for 40mg a day. Paxil is great for anxiety, but it makes it impossible to cum. So I switched to Effexor, and its been good, but not is good as Paxil. But, then if you want a good sex life...go for Effexor. | ||

I started with 10, then went to 20 and ended up on 30. It all depends how bad your disorder is. 30 is great for me | ||

Didn't any of you guys gain a lot of weight taking Paxil. I know this is one of the side effects, and have seen some of my clients get really fat from it. | ||

I've been on 30mg daily for 3 mos.. Today the Doc bumped it up to 40 not sure why. 30mg did wonders. I don't have social Anxiety like the commercials, but I run my own business and have a tendency to overreact and have panic attacs. the 30mg really helped alot and no sides. | ||

damn, i'm on 60mg/day, HAD pretty bad social anxiety. I've been on it for 1 1/2 years and it's worked wonders for me. Like that one guy said though, it makes it impossible to cum, so I'm trying to get it down to like 20-30 mg/day and see if that helps with the problem while not increasing my anxiety. | ||

I just switched from 40mg per day of Prozac to 40 mg per day of Paxil, This was simply because my shrink supplies it at no charge. I also take 2mg of Xanax a day for panic attacks. However I have gained about 17lbs since Christmas. ButI was also taking 600mg of test ethanate. And I have noticed it is more difficult to cum. Is this a temporary side affect? When I started prozac, I lost weight but it aggreviated my panic attacks. This side affect subsided in about a month. | ||

Follow up: If paxil makes you gain weight and you can't cum, I drop it and up my Xanax. I don't think I'll be off Xanax anytime soon, it seems more addictive than coke or smack. Also enderal helps me with panic attacks. I use on a as needed basis. Concerned about weight gain and sexual dysfunction! | ||

nope, the troubles with ejaculating (blowing your wad  ), if you get them, happen as long as you take Paxil. That's why i'm thinking of dropping it comkpletely very soon. I just hope if i do, that my social anxiety doesn't come back as strong as it used to be.I know some doctors even prescribe it for pre-mature ejaculation, if that's your only problem. | ||

white trash...you can still get a boner, you just won't be able to "blow your wad" nearly as easily as you used to, actually sometimes no matter how hard you fuck, get sucked, or jerk off you won't be able to come. That's what really has sucked about paxil for many of us. And no, it doesn't lower test levels. | ||

And another thing I just thought of...probably worst side-effect of all: it lowers your sex drive VERY noticeably. Hehe, it's like exchanging one set of problems for an entirely new set of ones. | ||

I'm taking paxil for depression simply because my Doctor no longer supplies free Prozac. If your only indication is Panic attacks or Social Anxiety, treat it surgically. By that I mean take Xanax. That will stop your panic attacks and any other anxiety immediately. Prozac works simply on depression, which is the flip side or result of countinued anxiety. I have always belived that any side affect (for most patients) is temporary. Including weight gain or the inability to cum, it sounds like paxil is the exception? | ||

i have this side efect too, and if u add alcohol to the mix it's even worse. Isn't xanax addicting as hell? I have really low sex drive but I always thought it was the propecia not the paxil, maybe it's both. God damn problems in life...hairloss, bad genes, anxiety, drug sides, more drugs to counter the drug sides. | ||

drop that dose to 40 man . I have no problem cumming actually I maybe lasting a little longer, but No prob with that when they are hanging from the ceiling in my sex swing. REally I've no no problems with sex sides wit 40mg of paxil, but I've heard horror stories about Zanax and sex. I'm like arnold in pumping Iron I feel like I'm cumming all day. | ||

I'm taking 20mg/day without very many sides. My doctor upped my dose to 40mg once while I was on a cycle of 500mg/sus week. I was with a woman and I got it up no problem but 45 minutes later(damn,I was exhausted) I still hadn't come. She tried sucking and a hand job but I still couldn't finish. She had already had 2 orgasms. Finally she said I can't do any more and left me there with a boner from hell. She must have thought I was a sexual Superman. | ||
