What's up all. I'm new to this board with a story to share. I've never used any gear, havnt even moved any iron in 7 years now. But a few years ago I went to Nogales to try to get some stuff. (I live in Phoenix just a few hours away from the border). I figured if I bought some gear it would definitly motivate me to start hitting the weights again. Anyway, needless to say it didnt work out. In the summer of '97 me and my friend drove down there in a rental car. Parked our car on the American side of the border and walked into Nogales. We spent the whole day walking, cab rides etc.. We got a prescription for some Sustanon right away. It took us a couple hours to finally find a pharmacy that was selling some. Then got a few vials of different kinds of Test from a house that this guy took us to in a cab. Next, we found a good Vet store a couple miles from the border and got the usual vet stuff. We kept the load small enough to fit it all inside our pant legs. Next, we buy a couple souveniers etc and then head for the border. Right away something seemed wrong. People by the dozens were just going right through but this guard kept catching my eye the whole time we were walking up. Sure enough two guards (american)looked at our souveniers and asked us if that was all we had. I said "yes" of course. They asked "are you sure"? Next they took us to a room and patted us down. They found the shit right away and I thought "I'm fucked". (I have already done 2 years in prison for non drug related crime). They take us to this holding cell right there. We were sitting in there for maybe 2-3 hours. then a guard comes in (Remember, these are American border patrol, not the Mexicans). He tells us that he called the Feds and they said he could let us go if we pay a $500 fine each right there on the spot. I was relieved as hell, except I didnt have $500 on me after spending all my cash on gear. So I ask if he'll take a check or credit card. He left and came back at least 2 hours later and said "ok, you can go". Just like that. Obviously the $500 each was a bribe and not a "fine". They even gave us back our souveniers (booze, blankets and some other pain medication that my friend bought). They kept all the gear. This is something I would expect on the Mexican side of the border, but not the American side! Anybody else have this sort of experience? They were obviously tipped off by somebody at one of the pharmacys, because we were just two average looking dudes fully clothed (no muscle or size showing). My guess is that they did this all day long. The pharmacy would tip them off by telephone. The American guards would keep the money and then give the gear back to the pharmacy. Or maybe there are American undercovers that hang out at the pharmacys? Anyway, I never went back!     | ||

"watching" the guards. They know keep an eye out for people who keep loking at them .... this is why you were singled out. | ||

Dude let me say this whole heartedly and I'm sure I speak for most of the bro's on Elitefitness when i say this but..... THAT FUCKING SUCKS!!!! I have a hispanic buddy from college classes that told me some shitty stories about bringing gear across. He said that there are some pharmacists and even vets that will sell you gear, and then send a person to rat you out to the guards. He told me it happens all the time, so I guess there is some type of kick-back system. My friend insists that if you are going to attempt to bring anything across that you change clothes after you purchase the goods but before you cross. However, I would just prefer to mail the shit back home. During reading this article I finally feel happy about AS that I live in Europe, where in my country is prohibited only selling AS to people under 18 years and of course trading with Efedrine. Jan BTW: If pro's are spending thousands $$$ when preparing for contest, why they do not come to Europe? Finally plane ticket + accommodation + AS + GH will cost much more less money and we have here Golds Gym as well. | ||

The top pros are not paying thousands for their gear----someone else is covering that expense for them!----And it does come from europe and elsewhere----- You know how Mcmahon from the wwf hooks up his wrestlers with the people to get them whatever they need------Well so do the men that are running the bodybuilding scene! old news | ||
