To get real workouts you have to hit steel!!! Go find another gym!! As far as home gyms I have the Total Gym 2000. Don't laugh, I bought it used for almost nothing. It actually works pretty good for getting a quick pump before going out for the night. There just isn't enough weight to get any real gains. all you need is a barbell, some alot of weight and a power rack. I've gained 100 pounds of muscle with not a single machine... IP: Logged |

I WOULD NOT EVEN CONSIDER A BOWFLEX. IT WAS GREAT TO HANG CLOTHES ON. IP: Logged |

Yeah, i'll only lift at home, alot of good stuff out there if you got the bread. I've drop a couple thousand. Parabody has nice stuff - nautilus new strength station bench is pretty cool. V-devil has a home gym bought all York stuff. He ended up dropping a couple thousand. You end up going a pieces at a time. Look at this way - never have to wait for equipment, got your music as loud as you want it and you can lift when ever you like, without climbing in the car. You will have to find a partner or go solo like myself that s the only draw back. Go for it - you'll be happy. I'll try and post some pic's of my gym. IP: Logged |

I personnaly like going to the gym better. I'm on a mission and it gets done. I've had weights in a room but, always found myself more psyched when going some where. IP: Logged |

Home gyms rule! If you have the room. I have trained at powerhouse, golds, worlds, and a few other small gyms and I have made more progress in my basement. I went out and bought a ton of shit last year. I have a power rack, flat, incline, dec. bench. A chin and dip station, a few adj. benches and last but not least, i invested in $1800 in pro-style dumbels(10#plates).I have 5's through 120's. Soon 150's. All i have to do is walk downstairs, put whatever music I want on, and train. VDEVIL IP: Logged |

Home gyms are nice, I'm set up pretty good myself, but my workplace just built a new gym and it's just across from the hall where I work. Hard to beat $5/month, so will probably incorporate home with the new gym, more variation that way!!!! deltman ------------------ IP: Logged |

I got a weider powe cage with a 300lb olympic set, flat-incline-decline bench, and precher curl for $250.00 brand new at Sam's Club. It has a lat pulldown that aint worth shit but everything else works great. The cage has a built in chin up station too. Ive also got hex dumbells from 20-95lbs. I just use this stuff for a pump now and then. I have too many distraction at home. To get a real workout I hit the real gym with my workout partner 5 days a week. ------------------ IP: Logged |

i found that gyms are better for me personally, however i did once have a dungeon typed gym in my basement (where i got started) and i would crank up the music and get busy, i made some real good gains with basic barbells and dumbbells, after you have your foundation, find a kick ass gym IP: Logged |
