Bros,

Here's a few facts about alcohol that should help you make a decision about drinking on cycle.

Alcohol contains 7 calories per gram. This is almost as much as fat. This is one reason mixed drinks are fattening.

Alcohol slows metabolism. It's one of the effects of any depressant.

Alcohol impairs judgment. I'm not talking about going home with a fat girl either...I mean that you will tend to eat the food at the bar, which is usually wings or some crap like that......

Alcohol's effect on sleep: If you're drunk, your sleep will not be restful sleep - your rest will not be as effective as usual, and you will lack the energy the next day to train with maximum intensity.

So there you go. Those facts don't stop me from drinking.....I just don't do it on cycle.

Let me add to that.

Alcohol is a toxin also. One of the liver's function in the body is to remove alcohol from the bloodstream.

It takes the liver 17 hours to completely remove one ounce of alcohol from the bloodstream. Remember, steroids impair liver functions, so if you are on a cycle, then it takes the liver longer to remove the toxin from your body.

Also, you liver is also responsible for converting cholesterol into smaller metabolites (that is why your cholesterol goes up on a cycle). If your liver is busy trying to process alcohol, cholesterol synthesis is decreased. And yes, cholesterol broken down provides the proteins to build testosterone.

So indirectly, the effects of your cycle are diminshed and liver functionality is impaired.

As mentioned earlier, alcohol is a sugar, which will also draw water from tissues and the muscle causing temporary dehydration.

So it is not a good idea to drink while on a cycle.

I agree 100%, alcohol is nothing but empty calories and trouble for your liver. If you have to get "messed up" while on a cycle the best alternative is GHB. AT THE RIGHT DOSAGE and taken with absolutely no other drugs, GHB will give you a euphoric, alcohol type buzz without all the damage to your body. Taken correctly it will actually enhance your cycle. Recent studies have shown GHB to triple the natural production of growth hormone during sleep. I usually take 1 cap (1 gram)30 minutes before bedtime and have gotten decent gains on just GHB and a good diet and workout program. Also, if you can't afford to sleep 8-10 hours a day GHB will enhance your sleep cycle by putting you in REM sleep longer, after just 5 hours of sleep I feel like I can take on the world!
