![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sam, I have never heard of too much protien causing gout, but i have experienced the shits when consuming too much, and I think that would be your first symptom, but not gout. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() you must drink lots of water (more than usual) water when taking lots of protien, and if protien intake becomes too great you will just be shitting your money away IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Sam, You may know or not but gout is usually caused by a build up yeast in your joints. I could imagine that if certain proteins such as whey are high in yeast this could be possible but it usually takes extended periods of time to occur. IP: Logged |

![]() ![]() ![]() Gout is believed to be a genetic disorder, since there tends to be familial tendencies. It is due to a disorder in the removal of purines which causes uric acid crystals to deposit in the joints which induces an anti-inflammatory response. It is not due to a buildup of yeast, but high yeast foods are to be avoided since they tend to have a high purine content. IP: Logged |
