i was wondering how much protein i should be taking within the course of a day. i only weight 143lbs and all the shit i read in magazines say you should eat like 400g a day. i couldn't do that even if i ate 87 meals a day.

How much can you eat?

Get yourself some protein powders. Go to: www.proteinfactory.com Take about 4 shakes a day, and eat around 4-6 meals a day. You need around 1.5g of protein per 1lbs body weight a day.

you need 200-280 g a day.

it won't be really hard. just get protein powder and double the amount of powder. you can get 60 g protein from one protein shake. 3 of those a day should work.

the magazines you are reading that tell you to ingest 400 grams a day probably own the company that is selling protien powder on the next page...most unbiased sources would say 0.8 grams per pound for any athlete, but i wouldnt go over 1.5 grams per pound...also keep in mind that your body cant digest more than about 40 grams per sitting(give 2 hours for digestion), so if youre taking more than that youre wasting your money...unless you like the idea of powerbars coming out of your ass

I have not read even one REAL scientific study
to back up that 40gr/protein per sitting cliche'. Though it gets continually repeated as if the theory holdstrue for every man,woman and child of all shapes and sizes. Whatever....
