This is some sort of joke, right? I mean, you've been on this board for quite some time, aceguy. Yeah, you crack the top of the amp off. I hold mine in a kitchen towel, one hand on the bottom and snap off the top with the other hand (thumb and index finger). It's usually a nice, clean break. You might want to "score" it first, using a nail file, jeweler's file, hacksaw blade, etc., if you think snapping it might be difficult or crush the whole amp. Generally, just snapping it off works fine. Draw the juice using one needle, because it will dull in the process, then inject with a clean needle. The best way is with an amp opener but i guess thats out. Any ways score the top get a pen cap place it over the top and snap!!!! breaks of clean everytime!!!!!!!! Explosive IP: Logged |

Vlad, I guess there's a way of drawing the juice from the amp (or vial) that doesn't in some minor but important way dull the needle. I sometimes think you could breathe on the needle and dull it slightly, the sharpness is that delicate. Maybe I'm wrong. But I haven't found that way. Maybe I'm just too aggressive in jabbing the needle in and sucking out the juice (amp or vial), therefore dulling the needle. And usually I'm drawing from several amps/vials and transfering the juice to other syringes. The few times I HAVEN'T changed needles, I've really felt it. I mean, rather than that nice "clean" feeling of the needle sliding through the skin into the glute, it's like STOP - gotta jab harder and more carefully. And, at least from my experience, it hurts more. I'm talking 1 1/2" 22-guage. By the way, with the B12 shots I now take, I just crack the amp, draw the B12, and stick in my delt. Same needle; no problem. 1" and 23/24 guage, though. IP: Logged |

Yes, go get yourself a metal nail file from Walmart, score (more like scratch) the neck of the amp. You don't need much. Then stick a bic pen-cap over the top and snap it off. The amps are also designed so you can hold them upside down and draw from them after they are opened without the juice spilling out. It doesn't sound right but they are. D. IP: Logged |

One thing about pin sharpness is the brand. If you get good US made stuff its sharpened by laser and very sharp(BD,monoject) some no names feel like some guy sharpened them with a rock wheel. Try to get the good ones and you can stretch em out if you must. IP: Logged |

If your amps are not scored and you don't have tools to do the job, try this... Flip the lid off of the back of your toilet (water tank) and rub the amps back and forth on the unglazed porcelin. Rotate the amp as you go until you get it scored. I usally just change the needle tip after I draw the dose. Needles are cheap IP: Logged |

use 2 pins 1 to draw the stuff from the amp and 1 to inject the tops on sust snaps of easy no need to file. IP: Logged |

I am also a newbie and lost 3 amps trying to snap the top off...I have come across a full proof way of opening them and have not lost one since. Just put the top in between a can opener and then squeez. Works for me every time..Do it outside or on a porch foz IP: Logged |
