I am flying to Cancun in june for a little R&R and I am planning to pick-up some gear to ship back home. Has anyone had any luck with sending gear back Via Mail or Fed-X. I am going to take some bubble rape with me so I can pack it in a box. Let me know what you think. I can not try to bring it back myself because I am 5'-11" and 238lb. I would take some of those small padded envelopes instead..mail it back in very small packages..rather than an obvious large one. You have a better chance of not arousing customs. IP: Logged |

If you are in Cancun, take a taxi to playa de carmen since the pharmacias are cheaper there. Bring some padded envelopes with you not too small, one that you could fit small article of clothing in. Whatever gear you buy remove inserts and throw away the boxes making the item as small as you can. Wrap the (gear taped together) up in a t-shirt or towel and then place it in the bubble wrap. The post office (next to the police station/ how ironic) will ask you what is inside and will feel the packages. Tell them whats inside "t-shirts for family back home". By feeling it you can tell whats inside but you don't feel the gear. Hope this helps and be careful. Use regular shipping which is about 15 days, even thats expensive. IP: Logged |
