... i got some duck once under the same protein pretense.... i baked it .. stunk up my whole house and it is all dark meat and was greasy as hell...I ate it of course...but cant say It was worth it for the little extra protein.. stick with chicken breasts....... ....i was running out of ways to cook chicken breasts so i crushed up a bunch of honey golden flakes cereal into a breading then baked it..... it made a sort of candy coated shell.. then i dumped hot sauce all over it..... speaking of different protein sources... can anyone tell me the protein value of venison (deer meat) I cant find it in any of my books and I have a bunch of it. Just not sure as to what a serving size is..the protein content of each serving and the fat content. someone please answer this for me..its driving me nuts. later, IP: Logged |

WCP venison if very high in protein and very lean. Another good protein source is ostrige (spelling), it is like turkey but dard like beef...very good but for the money and leaness venison is the best in my opionon. you can marinade the tender loins, my steaks, even make burgers put in a little cow fat and grind away...yum real good ------------------ IP: Logged |

The problem with deer is I did not hunt this year and I don't have a clue as to where to buy it. Explosive IP: Logged |
