Arnold once referred to Zane as a "chicken with 17" arms", but I don't know how accurate that assessment is. Early in his career he competed as heavy as 215 at 5'9", but when he won his O's he weighed 190-195. He said in an article that one year he trained w/ Arnold and they squatted 405 for reps, but it hurt his knees so he took it down to 315. He also said he military pressed 200 lbs early in his career. That's all I know.

I went to www.frankzane.com and found out that he competed at a weight of 190-200lbs during his olympia years and was 5'9". Don't know anything else.

I have been resding the mags sense 1977 the year of franks 1 st win as i remembe his compitition weght was as follows 183,187,188 for his 3 wins,177 the next year whenn he lost to Arnold ( no way Arnold won that one, that phyco lunitic Mike Mentzer had it all the way),but as for Franks strength all I can remember is he was not very strong....Muscle Builder would sometimes run exserts from Franks training journals that included weights and reps....and even as a skinny little 15 year old I was not immpressed! I think I remember 60,70,80 pound sets of DB presses for sets of 6-8
