supposedly an oral only cycle will give less permanent gains than an injectible cycle. does this have anything to do with a cortisol buildup. 17aa steroids are harder on the liver, which means that more cortisol builds up in the body on a 17aa cycle because the liver cannot break the cortisol down. is the extra cortisol, if there is that much of it, responsible in anyway for the loss of gains. since you would have more post-cycle cortisol on a cycle of 17aa drugs. i know the short half life of orals is also responsible for the loss of gains and tapering down with an injectible seems to help. but 17aa might cause your body to build up more cortisol since your liver cannot break it down. then again it might be a fluke. if you gain 7 lbs. on a winstrol cycle you will probably keep it and winstrol is just as hard on the liver as dianabol. First, there is no reason why orals won't produce as much gains as injectables, except for possibly low average doses; i.e. 5-10mg pills as opposed to 100-200mg/ml for injectable. If they could be taken in equal amounts there would probably be little difference, except for increased risk of hepatic problems with 17AA steroids. Second, I have heard many say that cortisol levels increase while on steroids and also after. There is no evidence that I can find on Pubmed or Medline. The studies that I do find is actually the contrary, showing lower levels or no effect. IP: Logged |

the cortisol floats through your body. it cannot attach to the receptor and it cannot be broken down by the liver. so post cycle you have a large amount of open receptors and you still have the unbroken down cortisol. IP: Logged |

Stalin, your theory on unmetabolized cortisol and inhibited cortisol receptors, is not supported by the research. If you can show me the contrary, I would be interested. IP: Logged |
