Heres the prob no matter what I try my front delts do all the work when I do side laterals no matter how light I go and how much I concentrate on form I can only feel it in the front delt and my side and rear delts are lagging badly behind. Dose anyone have any tips or other good exercise to isolate the side delts a bit. Are upright rows any good? IP: Logged |

Rear delts: You can use a fly machine, facing the opposite direction. Also cable extensions (cross body) either standing or bent over. Like you say, don't start with the weight too heavy, concentrate on the form until you feel the rear delts burning. IP: Logged |

Upright rows Bentover raises(like lataral raises but bent and to the back) Seated Row(hold the thing insideout and pull up to your face) Cable crossovers(opposite cables pulling up working the rear delts) Lie on a bench on your side, lift dumbell to the side and up for both shoulders. I hope this routine helps with your mid and rear delts. LaytaH. IP: Logged |

Cables are good. Behind the neck presses are ok, I don't feel them as much though. I forget the name of this exercise but I saw Boyer Coe (sp?) on TV do it. (Standing lateral raises?) He stood up at about 70 degrees and did a lateral raise with one arm- can do with 2 arms but I think the one arm raise concentrates on it a little more. Don't do upright rows. They can fuck up your rotator cuffs- I would not do that exercise... IP: Logged |

Your leaning forward a little. Arch your back some and pull your shoulders back-that should help. IP: Logged |
