I must have pissed off some god in a past life because I was just told that the job I was supposed to start monday was now not available. The worst part is it was my dream job as a stress engineer, working as a direct with a contractors salary, (36 bucks an hour plus time and half)in my home town of Phx, AZ and my dream house that I put a down payment on. The worst part is, I was offered another job, signed the offer letter and had that job taken back just a week ago. Not to mention I quit my current job to take the new ones. Now in one weeks time, I have been hired and fired twice, loosing three jobs! Now I know why some people eat a bullet for the extra nutrition. No, I am not gonna eat a bullet, but I now understand why they do. I have two kids and their mom to support and now I don't have shit. The worst part is people with half the drive, half the expereince are getting hired left and right. I must have some pretty big horns poken' out a my head. chesty the cursed. Oh well, maybe my luck will get better by tomorrow. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Sorry chesty but what is your engineering degree in??? i've never seen engineers paid so badly, 36$ an hour??? that's nothing. Up here for consultations and contracts we get 200-300 and hour.

Sorry to hear about that, but you may have grounds for a suit if you acted in good faith and one or both of the employers who screwed you did not (particularly as regards terminating your previous employment based on an offer of employment from one of the other two employers). Consult with a good attorney specializing in employment law. Best of luck. IP: Logged |
