I weigh 255# @ 6'4" I eat approx 250-300 grams of protein per day. I used to eat a lot of meat eggs etc, but I have found it much more convenient to just mix up a shake for protein. I work 60hrs wk and am really stressed for time during the day (I am so friggen sick of chicken I gag on it!!!) The shake I use is low carb low fat Whey and I like it a lot, I eat real food for the carbs I need, also take vitamins/minerals every day.
Is this OK or should I go back to hittin the steaks/etc? I have been making great gains since tapering to the shakes for the protein just wondering if their is anything really wrong with this concept, Thanks.

Man, i can relate to the 60hrs routine. i own a business and its real hard to get those cals. and protein. i gotto have several shakes a day to keep from going into
a nitrogen negative state. I swear by whey myself. I judge a protein mix by the fact if it doesnt have me running to the porcelin throne, and the farts basically make you a person who'll be single the rest of his life. I like nitro-tech, but would use any
good whey product.

Whey is awesome.

Just try and get a low carb, low fat variety and about 30g a serve.
I buy big arse 5kg (11lb) tubs, apart from being a few dollars more than the 1.75kg (3.8lbs), it lasts a good 2 months when off gear, and 1 month when on :-)

Eat clean, eat good and chug away the shakes when you think you cant eat, or you get hungry before your next meal.

Light on the stomach, and that kicks arse to have as the before the gym meal.

Have you considered eating a quickly absored protein shake with a high GI after training then eating a large meal within anoth 1-2 hours after.

I'm a college student so my food costs are somewhat budgeted. I've had excellent results using 100%whey by optimum nutrition...5lbs 77 servings @22g protien. Guess I like it so much cause its cheap.

If you eat 6 times a day, go with 3 shakes, and 3 with meat. Drinking shakes all day is not good, you will never build up your stomach capacity, and being your body has the purest best protein it will get lazy. Meats keep it working. It is always best to have a combination of things.
