Yeah- can't argue with those power movements. Shrugs are good if you can do them correctly. Most people either lift with their arms, or their whole body- vice shoulders. One bodybuilder reported that shrugs are some of the hardest exercises to do correctly. I don't know about that, I see a lot of fools loading up on the weight to build up their traps and lift with their arms, or on the hammer strength shrugs- they push up with their legs....defeats the purpose don't you think?

Isolate them as best as you can with shrugs, and they should grow.

HEAVY shrugs, very heavy shrugs (with right form) Hang cleans work great too. might try upright rows on smith machine, step forward and bring the bar up to forehead and hold. Go heavy, always go heavy!

I have found upright rows can give my traps a huge pump, barbell shrugs along with dumbells complimented by nasty kickurassmakeupuke deadlifts should give you excellent results!

Nothing works like high pulls, I use at least 225.............. it trashes the traps.

shrugs.....hmmm...how does everyone do them...do you roll or do you go straight up...I take my shoulders straight up...hold. and then straight back...hold and straight down...kind of a box formation

Dont roll them, could cause injury especially if your using heavy weight. Straight up, hol for a second, and straight down. Dont stop until they wont go no more!

If you do shrugs, try w/o straps. great grip strength builder. squeeze out on the top of the movement.

Leviathon...without that backward movement you are cheating with frontal delts....try to do them like I said and you will feel it more in the traps

Would someone please explain to me what Snatches and Cleans are?

I am reading about them constantly, but I don't know how in the world to do them.

Thanks,

Pubert

I always super-set my benching with behind the neck lat pulls, and use a light enough weight to put alot of stress on the traps....

I've really built them up doing this, along with barbell shrugs ss with dumbell shrugs, straight up and down....I do these on seperate days......
