A slight jog of a mile shouldn't do much on the way of losing muscle, but I would suggest doing it on your off days though. However, it really depend on your goals.

It depends, are you using AS or no? If you weren't using AS and you were to run immediately after a workout, then yes you would getting into the muscle. That's why they recommend doing it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach combined with an e/c/a stack.

If you are on AS, then it wouldn't matter. AS is anti-catabolic, so your body has no choice but to burn the fat while your muscles are getting the extra kick from the AS. Keep in mind, I assuming that you are eating right and feeding your muscles so they'll grow. If you aren't, then disregard anything that I say.

Villain is right. Running on an empty stomach and with eca will help u burn fat, cause in the morning your glycogen stores are low and your gonna burn fat for fuel. You'll be so low on carbs that the only thing your body will burn to get some energy is that spare tire.

Yes, running first thing in the morning is a good way to burn fat, and YES perhaps equally well after your workout- and for the same reasons...your stored glycogen is closer to depletion. You see while you work out you use the glycogen in your muscles as energy for your strength training where you need it, and fat(at a higher percentage than glycogen) for your jogging afterwards.
AND, to answer your question 1mile 5 times a week wont make you lose muscle, its negligible.

I have always thought that if I have enough energy after lifting to run, then I did not lift hard enough. I save cardio for the off days.
